Our wedding day cannot be better described than the most perfect day of my life. After more than eight years of a long distance relationship our big day finally arrived. We both love the bushveld and was privileged to celebrate our day around a dam in the bushveld. The way a person feels on their wedding day is indescribable – all the excitement and emotion to promise a forever-love together with family and friends to celebrate our love. And the best of all…at the end of the day I was married to my best friend and soulmate.
We went to my favorite destination and most breathtaking place on earth – Massinga Beach Lodge in Mozambique.

I walked down the aisle with the most comfortable yet elegant Zellie Shoes.
My wedding jewellery was a special gift from my husband.

In 2005, a new bridal collection emerged and quickly rose to compete with top brands by merging traditional and modern European styles into exquisitely hand crafted gowns.
Wood and green leaves was all over our wedding with a hint of white roses. We wanted all our guests to be cosy and comfortable – celebrating our love next to the reflection of fairy lights on the dam.
My groom wore a navy blue suit.
His groomsmen wore chinos with white button down shirt with rolled up sleeves. Brown shoes and belt. And best of all genuine leather suspenders and bow ties from my own personal brand – MEERKAT.
I designed my bridesmaids’ dresses myself. Their dresses was a cocktail dress with a mesh long skirt-bottom that opened at the frond as they walked. All in navy with brown pumps.
Janine Pretorius from Zoom Pro Photo captured every special moment of our day. I could not be happier with her work – it is impossible to choose my best photo. This is all we will have left for the future from our wedding day and Janine did an outstanding job.
Our guests smiled as they packed their plates with all the delicious food. Our cake was a dieter’s nightmare.
I enjoyed every moment planning and designing all of our stationary.
Still to this day we receive compliments from our guests about how much fun they had on our wedding - the best wedding ever attended. We are so grateful to each and every one who had shared and made our day such a memorable wedding.
