My Special Day

I felt like a true princess! I love colours, so my wedding colours was navy, fushia, lime green and white.
I mainly used pienk in my dress, hair and bouquet. Hair was made into curls and pinned, with a facinator with pink paper flower and crystals. Makeup and hair were done by the photographer. Shoes was pimped with crystals by my sister. White lingerie was worn. Only stud diamonds in my ears and a diamond bracelet I received as wedding gift from my parents.

The Venue

I have always wanted to have a wedding like they have in India. 7 days and 7 nights!
We settled for a weekend wedding in Tulbagh. Some guests already stayed from Thursday, the rest Friday and some Saturday.

My Bridal Beauty Regime

I did some dieting as I'm sure most brides try to do!
I had my nails done, a facial, eyebrow wax and false lashes attached.

Wedding Elements

We had our wedding at Montpellier, a wine estate in Tulbagh.
The ceremony was in the chapel on a hill in the middle of vineyards.
The reception in the cellar.
They supply rectangular oak tables and chairs, so minimal decor was needed. As Western Cape is in midst of a drought, getting nice flowers at affordable prices were near impossible. Also the transport of real flowers would have been a nightmare. We decided on paper flowers which made my life much easier.
No tents or stage. The DJ brought extra fairylights which he put up throughout the cellar.
We only had to rent serviets and glass stands for the tables to put candles in.

My Groom And His Groomsmen

They wore chracoal grey rented suits, white shirts and striped ties from Romans.
Suits were rented from The Bridal Co at Canal Walk.

Beautiful Bridesmaids

I had 3 bridesmaids. They wore navy dresses. They chose the design and had the dresses made by the lady who made my dress.

My Captured Moments

My photographers was Zinta Maasdorp and Chrissy Bruwer. Their bridal photography is called A Tailored Affair.
The most awesome ladies I had the pleasure and hinor to have as my photographers. They are wizards of their craft!

The Wedding Planner

I planned the whole wedding

Wedding Transport

They have an old vintage truck on the farm which we docorated and used as transport for the guest as well as my dad and I.

Food & Cake

Malita Joubert Catering
We disn't have a wedding cake

Wedding Stationery

The Reception and Entertainment

It was the party of the century!! My hubby and I dance very well together, so no need for dance lessons.
DJ Phil did the sound and lighting and it looked fabulous!
We left the reception only after the bar HAD to close and the DJ packed up at 2am.
