Two Imperfect people loving one another perfectly
When I met the love of my life at News Cafe in Centurion on the 11th February 2012, we never thought that "our forever" would turn out to be each other. The one thing that was very real was the friendship, it blossomed like a house on fire.
" EVERY LOVE STORY IS BEAUTIFUL BUT OURS IS MY FAVORITE", now this is a phrase that you may have heard before but when you really think about it , it hits home. As I grew up I imagined love to be all wonderful, moonlight and roses. However it is the perfect Imperfections that make it yours, each of us walking our own journey and finding love in the midst of our own wonderful yet crazy world.
Morning of the Wedding
This was time, very well spent with my older sister Michelle and getting everything ready before my entourage arrived. One thing Michelle did was keep me from speaking to my hubby to be. When he called, she kept the phone away from me and told me “No Lu-Anne only when you say "I DO”. At this point I knew I wasn’t going to win ( she is a feisty lady that I love to bits and she always has my best interest at heart - * slight giggle* ) so I carried on with the final walk-through with our venue coordinator Sanja. Our wedding venue was Lavandou, I breathed easier and tears filled my eyes when the I saw our wedding cake ( made by: Tascha’s Cakes ) I had no idea it was delivered already!
Taking a minute (or two) for my Vows
After all, had settled and Jessica and Raquel (my two beautiful friends and bridesmaids) had arrived I felt the presence of love overwhelming my heart. This is when I knew it was time to write my vows, the moment I have been praying for.
Lavandou has a beautiful garden, so I took a walk away from everyone and sat soul alone in the shade of a tree, closed my eyes and as i opened them I started writing my vows. At this point I knew without a doubt I am marrying the man that God had intended for me.
I started having flashbacks of a notebook I had, not too long ago - I remembered the first sentence:
"Lord I know I am pick and choosy when it comes to whom I love, but, you made me this way, so today I start this journal asking you for the man I choose to love ………… " this was followed with bullet points, little stars everywhere lots of tears, smiles and happiness. Then I realized God gave me exactly what I asked for and more.
Moments .... Wow! There are too many to mention:
Every time someone walked into the bridalroom I started crying because the love was so real
When my mom and my dad arrived to get dressed
When my bridesmaids and matron of honour opened their gifts
When my dad walked me down the Isle
When I saw my husband to be, standing and waiting for me.
When our wedding song started playing " A thousand Years "

Our first Dance
One moment that I will never forget is when Eben and I released the doves I had such an overwhelming feeling of utter appreciation for the day that God has blessed us with. To this day i can still feel the doves smooth feathers on my hands and their tiny heartbeats calming me down.
" You and me , just us two "
While I was blissfully busy with our Wedding day preparations. Eben planned our honeymoon , and being alone with my honey was my only prerequisite. Time away from all the Hustle and Bustle , so trust me, when i found out where we were going on our wedding night during his heartfelt speech. He took alone to a whole new level .
My husband booked us for 10 days on a beach front sea view hotel "Samaya Bura Hotel" on a little island called Koh Samui, everything a brand new married couple could ask for, long walks on the beach, a tour, & the two of us alone on a rented scooter taking to the road and exploring the island alone.
Thinking about our flights , destination and experience I would never have asked for it to have been any different than what he planned, Our Memories found us in line
