The Honeymoon

We went to Paternoster in the Western Cape and stayed at The Oyster Haven (where we were treated like royalty) and then moved over to The Abalone House & Spa for some TLC. It was lovely having my hubby all to my self, a great time to be left alone and to relax after a shortish and busy engagement period. I must say I was excited to get home to our apartment for me to start "making home" but with only being married for two months I am still just as excited to get home to my hubby and to enjoy our space together.

My Special Day

My look: Elegant

I love hair and jewelry. As a make up artist having your face done up can be such a treat but I must say before I was engaged I thought I would have gone for a much more dramatic look than what I did.

I wanted everything to feel like me, I have never been one to live up to "I only have one opportunity" to look and feel as beautiful as ever. So what do I love more than anything? It is having everyone I love dearly and who know me hands on with anything they were willing to help with.

My wedding dress: Beautiful lace with these dainty gold buttons and a nude skirt. My dress was made by my dear friend Candy, was special being part of the process of making my dress and getting to spend time with her.

My Earrings (From Swarovski Jewelry): My friend took me shopping and we found perfect earning to match my something borrowed brace-late (from the same friend) and my engagement ring.

My Favorite: Navy Suede Stiletto Heels

Lastly, My Make up: Smokey eye, false lashes with a touch of glitter and nude purple lip. Ohh and my Make Up was done by the talented Genee Leonard. She was lovely to have around and did a fantastic Job.

Wedding Elements

Our flowers were done by the amazing Pipa @ Wildeflower. They were soft the eye but creative, I remember it spelling so nice.

My Groom And His Groomsmen

Groom: A well fitted suit from Spaghetti Mafia in Cape Town
Groomsmen: Country Road white shirt, black pants, black shoes and black ties

My Captured Moments

KOA Photography - Danielle Smith
Super talented photographer and we absolutely loved working with her!
She made us feel very comfortable and really showed a true care for us and our day.

The highlight of having her around (besides from being servant hearted and giving us great photo's) she helped me get into my dress, made sure I was laughing and felt relaxed.

Thank you Danny :)

Wedding Transport

My brother surprised me with an Alpha Spider! My dad and I had so much fun driving it on our way to the chapel.

Food & Cake

Open Door Restaurant in Constantia, Cape Town arranged our food.

What was on the Menu?

Canape's as you came in,
The Starter: Homemade bread & Butter with a choice of two salads,
The Main: Choice of fish or steak (Was delicious)
Desert: a chocolate pie with marshmallow filling OR/ AND cinnamon donuts

Yes - we ate like kings!

Wedding Stationery

My Hubby, he is an editor (lucky me ;))

The Reception and Entertainment

No DJ, NO lighting but I have never partied so hard and danced so much before. Our dear friend, Campbell Colledge who did the worship at our ceremony killed it. We had about 50 people on the dance floor getting lost in the music and enjoying themselves.
