We left for our honeymoon the next day. We spent 5 nights in Phuket, Thailand and 2 nights in Bangkok.
My make-up was very soft and glowy and I had pin curls for my hair. My dress was full lace with long sleeves. I also had a short dress for the evening. Which was lace as well. I wore a pink shoe with a bow on it. Each piece of jewelry I wore had a special story. I had earrings from my grandma, my something blue was a braclet my husband bought me for my 21st birthday and my something old was diamond pendant my dad gave my mom 15 years ago. She never wore it, so I wore it for the very first time that day.
We got married at Ashanti Estate in Paarl.

From the very beginning we wanted a ‘romantic dream’ feel. That’s exactly what we got. We used white, soft pink and touches of gold and crystal candelabras and vases on the tables. We also had hanging tealight candle holders hanging above the tables. We decided to go for soft pink roses for our tables. And kept our bridal table very soft and romantic with just rose petals and candles in crystal vases.
The groom wore a navy, slim fit double breasted suit from Fabiani and the groomsmen wore slim fit suits from Woolworths
My bridesmaids wore nude fitted dresses that we bought online from Superbalist

We had Lilac photography for our wedding day and they did our engagement shoot as well. Lize and Leo are a wonderful husband and wife team. We couldn’t have gone with anybody better! We also did a DIY photo booth with props and instant cameras.
We hired Joli Creations & designs for planning and on the day coordination. We hired most of our decor from them.
Our venue Ashanti Estate did all the catering. We decided to not have a wedding cake but instead have a dessert buffet table.
We had our stationary designed by 38designs and my company, Print it Cape, printed all the wine labels, logos, invitations and others stationary.
We had a Dj. We didn’t take any dance lessons, unfortunately it was something that we waited too long to do.
