Held at the picturesque The Cellars-Hohenhort, this luxury hotel in the Cape Winelands needs no introduction. Inspired by a neutral on neutral colour palette accented with soft pastels and metallic gold, this wedding look book is perfect for the trend setter bride that loves a little classic elegance.
Needing no introduction, The Cellars-Hohenhort oozes luxury and sophistication at every turn. From the manicured gardens to the dreamy interiors, every nook and cranny has carefully been curated to make you feel like you have simply stepped into an oasis of peace and serenity - perfect for newlyweds. For this shoot, we shot the dreamy reception look in the famous Conservatory. Bringing the outdoors in, The Conservatory boasts floor to ceiling glass window panes to truly show off their incredible landscapes. A second look was shot in the famous Hohenhort building. Think statement staircase, wooden finishing and masculine touches - the Hohenhort truly stood the test of time with her stylish finishing and delicate touches. Part of the prestigious Liz McGrath Collection, this charming and graceful sanctuary surrounded by lush gardens and nestled in the heart of the Constantia Valley, offers the perfect setting for your special day.
The highly acclaimed team at The Event Planners sure know how to turn wedding dreams into reality. From the planning and conceptualising phase right through to execution, Madri and Niki are truly dynamite with their creative ideas, meticulous execution and all round fabulousness. Together with Alida Gerstner-Gunter, a floral master - the gorgeous reception look truly blew us away. Lush florals combined with the most incredible textures, tones and colours was beautifully contrasted by artisan crockery and chic cutlery with metallic accents from Two Birds at the Dairy Shed and picture perfect table linens from the team at Tablecloth Hire. Velvet dining chairs supplied by Bianca, the beauty and brains behind Event Architect added the final touches to this trendsetting wedding reception look. The creative team at Secret Diary created the most swoon worthy and divine couture wedding stationery for this winning reception look. The day of designs beautifully complimented the tablescape with modern menu designs perfectly accented with blush tassels gently hanging off the tables. The on the day stationery look is complete with a bespoke perspex table number signature to the couture stationery atelier.

Geo by George are the masterminds behind this one of a kind show stopper wedding gown that is triple functioning. Easily switching between ceremony, reception and a party look you get the best out of three in one fully customisable wedding dress. The team at Geo by George accented the gown with delicate gold detailing that looked as if it was painted onto the body. Complete with a dramatic cape, this stylish detail functioned as the veil that delicately trailed behind our gorgeous model Mahren Swartz. Fitted to perfection, this wedding gown truly is the definition of wow. Switch between ceremony and reception by simply removing the cape to display the wedding gown in all its glory. Say goodbye to natural wedding make up, Cecilia opted to go bold and dramatic and boy-oh-boy was it glamorous. Think bold eyes, defined brows and the perfect sun kissed golden skin - Mahren looked breathtakingly beautiful! Her luscious locks were gently curled to create the perfect wave and smoothed down to really draw attention to the intense eye makeup. Needless to say, we just love this chic wedding make up look and we cannot wait to see more brides opt to be a little more daring on their big day. Cecilia has advised that although it may feel a little too much, you can easily turn a more dramatic makeup look into a smouldering bridal look that your guests will not easily forget. Paired with this opulent wedding gown, Cecilia Fourie seamlessly brought the whole look together with her amazing skills and keen eye for detail! How mesmerising does Mahren look? Opting for two looks, the attention to detail and delicate finishing on each look showcased the very best in mens wedding fashion. The first look was a beautiful reverse tuxedo - a signature from the bespoke suit brand. Complete with tailored pants, stylish brogues and lush bowtie, Kelton looked dapper and certainly owned the room as the leading man of the moment. The tuxedo will always be a firm favourite in our books and the winter white jacket truly upped the ante against the bold and daring black wedding dress! Needless to say, we loved this stylish and fashion forward wedding look. The second look featured a classic navy suit complete with all the bells and whistles! Navy is always a classic choice and looks great against any skin tone. Add a pop of colour in your pocket square or neck accessories to add a little pizzaz to your wedding look! It is no secret that when you contact Secret Diary for stationery, your world is always left a little more beautiful! From start to finish, the entire process from design to ideation, we just knew we were in the hands of professionals. This concept invite was a little something different from the brands signature style but was executed with surgical precision and left us with the most incredible invitation and reception pieces. The wedding invitation featured a layered invitation complete with foil detailing, fastened with rose gold paper clip all beautifully packaged in a signature Secret Diary invitation box. Delicately finished with foil accents and lush blush pink tassel. The day of designs followed the theme perfectly and included stylish and chic modern reception designs. A beautiful laser cut dual functioning menu included the guest names and delicate tassel gently hanging off the table. These couture designs added the perfect pop to the already stunning reception look and added a chic finish to this trend setting wedding look. The modern table number made use of three different finishings ensure the brands signature style was seen in all of the items produced. The clear round perspex disc included engraving and metallic vinyl accents to add the ultimate luxurious feel to this modern reception look. Our darling bride and groom each donned a spectacular vow booklet with velum tag (super trendy for the season) and luxurious tassel! Needless to say, Secret Diary delivered this brief perfectly and we could not be happier with the end result.
The girls at Sweet Lion Heart sure know how to make the team at SA Weddings HQ squeal with delight. No matter what they do, everything just looks moreish! And we can assure you, every single pastry delight tastes as good as it looks. The Sweet Lion Heart team blew our socks off with their decadent delight in neutral tones. Featuring a statement two tier ensemble, this gorgeous wedding cake included spherical chocolate balls and fabulous textures in metallics! Needless to say, we had to curb quite a few times to not steal a little sliver of this cake splendour.
Of course no wedding is complete without a killer set of wedding wheels! Barry and the amazing team at Classic Rides ensured our bride and groom were transported in style! The wheels of choice was a deep Burgundy 1938 Studebaker Coupe which honestly is wedding wheel heaven. Any avid vintage car lover will know that the Studebaker just oozes luxury and sophistication. From the fiery red body to the sophisticated cream interior, Barry’s Studebaker exudes comfort, sophistication and timeless style!
