Inspired by a Autumnal colour palette, accented with pops of pink and metallic gold, this wedding look book is perfect for the trend setter bride that loves natural elements, minimalistic details and lush florals!

Needless to say, we were handled like absolute royalty and were treated to an unforgettable experience by this talented and hospitable team. With a venue like Buccara Wildlife Reserve a statement outside ceremony area is absolutely crucial to really showoff the incredible landscapes. Sophia’s Roses created a jaw dropping ceremony area that will make even the most classical of brides squeal with delight. A celebration of textures and tones, this masterpiece truly blew us away.
A round ceremony arch perfectly adorned with dried fan palms and Yukon Belle branches stole the show. The pop of warm orange reminds us of the dreamy sunsets at Buccara and boy-oh-boy did it deliver. Complete with Moroccan carpets and palm leaves all down the steps, this is one statement bridal entrance! Sophia included custom made hexagon stands with aloes beautifully highlighted by clear pillar vases from Hire Haus and the most incredible selection of candles from Candles4U! Needless to say, this boho chic ceremony areas deserves a standing ovation.
We are so excited to showcase two dreamy intimate wedding reception looks. With the help of Sophia’s Roses, Hire Haus, Candles4U and Tablecloth Hiring we created two trendsetting reception looks. From concept right through to execution, these dreamy wedding service providers helped create the most incredible reception inspiration for your big day.
It is no secret that blush and gold is always a winning wedding look. There is something so beautiful about these colours merging together to create an overflow of whimsical delight, and when combined with a pop of metallic and chic table accents, the end result is magical! For this reception look, we wanted to have a strong focus on lush florals and striking decor pieces. We are not going to lie, a little understated opulence always makes for a winning reception look. Tablecloth Hiring set the tone with their decadent and luxurious textured off white linen table cloth. Sophia the beauty and brains behind Sophia’s Roses certainly outdid herself with a lush floral arrangement complete with textured greenery - certainly paying homage to the landscapes around her. All these gorgeous blooms were grown by Sophia and were freshly picked for the shoot. If that isn’t girl boss goals, we don’t know what is! Shades of pink and white were brought to life with pops of coral and greenery all perfectly positioned to create an organic and natural statement arrangement.
Hire Haus certainly brought the heat to this reception look with their fabulous decor pieces. We cannot recommend Hire Haus enough brides and grooms-to-be! This dynamic team offer their clients a wide variety of decor essentials and their amazing stock caters to all wedding styles, themes and budgets. For this intimate reception look, the stylish decor pieces added the perfect finishing touch. Ornate charger plates, pink side plates and opulent gold cutlery set the tone and were beautifully accented with ornate coupés and modern gold candlesticks! Little matte pink and gold votives picked up the tones in the florals to create an harmonious symphony of wedding gold! To complete this romantic look, Candles4U provided the most swoon worthy dinner candles in shades of rust and blush picking up each of the decor pieces and florals in a lavish, contemporary modernised classic bridal look!
Often we hear brides are a little hesitant when it comes to using black as a focal decor piece but we say why not! This modern black and blush wedding reception look focuses on layering textures with chic metallic accents and ambient lighting. Achieving the right balance with a black and blush wedding look is all about mastering the perfect blend between romantic and masculine. Soften the look with lighter tones and lush blooms and add depth and height with candles.
For this dreamy reception look, we used modern black lined underplates complete with slate dinner plates and a much needed pink side plate. Not only do we love the play on sizes but we love how the little pop of pink highlights the beautiful flowers and candles. Modern high gloss vases and candle sticks in various sizes, and chic black and gold cutlery add the ultimate stylish statement to this trend setting reception look. Don’t even get us started on those ornate coupés. Sophia included single stemmed cream roses and foraged foliage on the table with a strong focus on interesting textures and tones. As seen in the 2019 season, dried florals are all the rage and with good reason. This sustainable floral choice allows you to achieve really unique and interesting floral arrangements perfectly highlighted by your stylish decor. To finish the look off, add votives in various sizes for the perfect low ambient glow and a trendy modern perspex table number. Très magnifique!
No wedding celebration is complete without a statement wedding cake! Blos Bakery certainly is no stranger to the wedding and event industry and their cake creations and sweet delights are well known back at SA Weddings HQ. The Blos Bakery team created a stunning two tier soft pink cake and our darling director, Katherine Ballantyne decorated it with lush blooms from Sophia’s Roses which featured that glorious white Dhalia! Needless to say, keeping our hands off this decadent cake creation proved to be quite a feat. It smelt amazing!
No stranger to the limelight, Cindy Bam Couture sure knows how to accentuate your best features with her jaw dropping wedding gowns and excellent craftsmanship. Each of her bespoke gowns is a labour of love and their timeless beauty has become her signature trademark. Needless to say, when it came to this Modern Boho Bridal Bliss Shoot, Cindy and her incredible team delivered two wedding gowns that were beyond our wildest dreams.
There are not enough adjectives to describe this incredible masterpiece from Cindy Bam Couture. This luxurious and romantic Bohemian wedding dress was the pièce de résistance of this entire shoot and quite literally blew our team away. This breathtakingly well balanced Bohemian wedding gown featured the most incredible bell sleeves, with form fitting bodice and dramatic train with layer upon layer of delicate lace. Perfection cannot even begin to describe it. Every meticulous detail added to enhance comfort and showcase your best assets. Needless to say, our beautiful model Chanel looked exquisite. This couture wedding gown was so soft to the touch and epitomises what Boho Chic is all about. The clean lines and strategic placement drawing your eye to the areas of your body you want to show off, all whilst gently highlighting the décolletage and sexy low V-cut back line. It is truly feminine with a little edge, perfectly balanced Bohemian luxury.
Cindy Bam is a woman with many talents and our second statement wedding gown epitomises old Hollywood glamour! This form fitting gown with deep V in the front is sultry and sexy whilst still keeping it classic and chic. We absolutely love the open back and buttons that draw your eye down to the train! If your legs are you best asset, you’ll love the stylish slit in the front of the gown which glides gracefully as you move. “The simplicity of a minimal wedding dress highlights extraordinary craftsmanship and showcases your figure in a way that is subtly sexy” (Brides Wedding Blog). The minimal classic effect is gracefully achieved through structured fabrics that are clean, chic and ultra impactful! Cindy provided the perfect little Burgundy bolero jacket with embellished details which simply made this bridal gown pop. Perfect for those chilly evenings in the Karoo!
Bridal Make Up
The talent in the Karoo is out of this world! Carlin Loots from HealthiSkin showed her talents off with a bold and dramatic wedding makeup look. Think bold eyes, defined brows and bronzed finishing. Chanel our model has beautiful blue eyes which were highlighted with brown and bronze shades and a fabulous top liner, all perfectly finished off with a darker shadow to create depth. Brides, pro tip never be afraid to go with a dramatic wedding look - if done correctly it looks magical! The skin was warmed up with bronzer, a touch of blush and highlighted in all of the right areas. Bridal goals is an understatement!
Wedding Hair
Your wedding hair is so important to pull your bridal look together. Erika Whyte from Mister Cut did a phenomenal job with the bridal hair! The statement boho wedding gown was beautifully complimented with loose bridal curls really drawing attention to the fabulous deep V in the back. The second bridal look featured a trending wedding look of the season. We are all about that textured bridal pony tail! This sleek bridal look with centred part draws your eye to the makeup and creates a fabulous contrast between a full bridal face and sleek hair! That you Erika, you are amazing!
