There is something quite magical when you see wedding professionals come together to bring your creative concept to life. A collaborative affair resulted in a stylish and chic styled shoot at d'Olyfboom Family Estate Venue in Paarl. Working with a jewel toned palette, the moodier tones were beautifully accented with blush pink and metallic details. Raw finishes at d'Olyfboom Family Estate provided the perfect backdrop to the glamorous tablescape and jaw-dropping wedding dresses. Keep reading to find out just what we got up to!
d'Olyfboom Family Estate is one of the newest members to join the SA Weddings family and boy is it a showstopper. Set against Paarl Mountain, d'Olyfboom Family Estate boasts picturesque views of the town, vineyards and country-side. Weddings can be held in their charming renovated old cellar with beautiful modern touches and raw finishes - it is any photographers dream. We made use of the gorgeous cellar, guest cottages and stunning gardens for this showstopper shoot!
Michelle from New Vintage Events pulled out all the stops and created the most beautiful tablescape and ceremony area. We were completely blown away by her incredible eye and attention to detail. The floral centrepiece included full blooms in moody tones and of course was accented with shades of pink and gold to add the ultimate glam factor. We are crushing on the textural elements that added the perfect height and romantic touch to the table. The table decor played into the 2019 upcoming seasons trends, combining modern details such as black flatware, chic golden candle sticks and sleek chargers and plates. To soften the look, Michelle included blush napkins with a gorgeous golden tassel and a romantic blush runner which tied the entire look together seamlessly.
Michelle wowed us with the most beautiful ceremony area. d'Olyfboom Family Estate's renovated cellar has beautiful raw walls which was such a treat to work with. Long stemmed candles rested on golden plinths encased the bride who was surrounded by the most gorgeous blooms. Not only is this decor style bang on trend but it makes the prettiest picture! Thank you so much Michelle, you are beyond talented.
We were overjoyed to have Didi, the legendary designer behind Didi Couture on board for the shoot. Showcasing four of her dresses - in signature Didi Couture style, the bridal gowns had beautiful lace detailing and embellishments that were ultra feminine and chic. We included a selection of whimsical bridal looks and more form fitting with open back detailing for that sophisticated and sexy bridal look. Needless to say, we were totally blown away!
Grooms, this is for you! Frank Bespoke exceeded our expectations and provided us with two bespoke suits for the shoot. Working with a dreamy rich emerald green suit accented with brown accessories, our groom looked ultra handsome and stylish. The second look we shot featured a beautiful burgundy suit accented with pale blue bow tie and pocket square. Having a suit made at Frank Bespoke is truly a one of a kind experience and you are guaranteed a perfect fit. It goes without saying that only the finest trimmings and accessories are added to finish off your perfect look and boy did Grant from Frank Bespoke deliver.
Of course the look is not complete without beautiful bridal accessories and Ellen from Elandie Bridal gifted us with the most charming selection. The delicate details completed the bridal look and added enough glam to our bride which ensured she looked as pretty as a picture. How gorgeous is the jewelled headpiece? Anella Shoes added the perfect finishing touch. With such a wide selection and a style to suit every bride, you are absolutely spoilt for choice. We are in love with the jewelled and lace finishing - so stylish!
Who said accessories are only for the ladies? Frank Bespoke provided a stylish hat and a stunning selection of pocket squares and bow ties to complete the grooms look. We are in love with the playful colours and textures, perfect for the groom that wants to leave a lasting impression.
The hair and makeup was done by the talented and vivacious Kirsti from Blush & Brush Make Up. A true professional and absolute master of her craft, Kirsti showcased her skills in a few hair and make up looks. Focusing on bridal beauty trends for the 2019 wedding season, fuss free hair and bronzed make up was the order for the day. Playing with metallics on the eye lids and peachy pink pops, we could not be more impressed. Of course, the proof is in the pudding and our bride looked breathtaking with her bridal beauty looks.
True to Sugar Studio's style, the wedding cake was nothing short of a showstopper. Working with a darker palette with modern geometric touches, the cake was finished off with statement blooms and metallic accents. We loved the textures in-between the florals which added the perfect modern touch!
Of course, no wedding is complete without jaw dropping stationery and Lezanne's Designs provided us with the most beautiful suite. Sporting moody blooms, burgundy paper finishing and gold foiling - the stationery was nothing short of luxury! Botanicals are so trendy for the 2019 season and this suite was bang on trend.
What would a styled shoot be without its beautifully captured images? We had the honour of working with Zandri Du Preez, the beauty and brains behind Zandri du Preez Photography. Zandri with her soft nature, has such talent and a very detailed eye for capturing the perfect moments. Providing direction and amazing ideas, we could not have asked for a better dream team! It is always such a pleasure seeing a master of her craft in action and we could not be happier with the end result. With her signature documentary-style approach, the images are true reflections of the happenings of the day! Thank you Zandri for your amazing work.
