An amazing and mind you, multi talented team of wedding service providers joined forces to create a jaw dropping styled Christmas table. Brides and grooms to be, if you’re needing a little Christmas inspiration to wow your beloved, be sure to keep your eyes locked!
Nooitgedacht Estate is no stranger to the limelight, and provided the perfect canvas for a beautiful Christmas setting in South Africa. Located in the heart of the Cape Winelands, this pristine venue has been home to countless luxurious weddings and events. Far from your typical cookie cutter weddings, Nooitgedacht Estate is known for their exceptional service, pristine gardens, majestic mountain views and facilities that are second to none. Our gorgeous 24 seater table was set up in the gardens, surrounded by the most incredible age old Oak trees providing the perfect amount of shade for our warm summer months. Needless to say, this Christmas set up was one of a kind and the outdoor set up reminded us of a whimsical fairytale with accents of nostalgia and perfect country charm! With views of the garden pond and island only a stone throw away, the evening filled with new and old wedding friends left our hearts bursting, bellies full and memories that will last a lifetime. We simply cannot compliment the amazing staff at Nooitgedacht Estate enough on their professionalism, attentiveness and expert event knowledge! Without you all, the Christmas celebration would not have been such a roaring success!
Boy oh boy, THIS set up was something to behold. Clean, chic and filled with drama the amazing floral and decor team truly upped the ante and blew our socks off with their incredible concept and perfect execution. Every single detail was carefully curated to ensure the entire look and feel was pulled off with surgical precision. N Concepts and Designs, Mable M Florals, Anli Wahl Floral and Design by Marcel teamed up to create the most swoon worthy floral, lighting and decor looks for the trendiest South African Christmas table around!
Nico, the dapper mastermind behind N Concepts and Designs is no stranger to thinking outside the box. When it came to the Christmas concept, Nico immediately spoke to leading ladies Madri and Niki, the beauty and brains behind The Event Planners to conceptualise a concept that was a little something out of the norm for a typical Christmas soiree. Because our Christmas falls in a summer month, the team of creatives immediately pulled together ideas of a sharing table. Think delicious Christmas spread with friends and family around with the sun’s gentle rays basking down on your loved ones. And from there, the concept was born. Together, N Concepts and Designs and The Event Planners pulled together new and old industry friends to bring us this stylish reception look that was as beautiful as the gorgeous grounds around us! Stylish and chic is an understatement! An all white ’S’ shaped table graced the outdoor aisle at Nooitgedacht Estate. Surrounded by majestic oak trees, the stark contrast between white and greenery created the ultimate stylish statement. Overhead crystal chandeliers delicately graced the table providing ambient lighting and opulence to the luxe tablescape. The table truly showed off with countless pillar candles in varied size glass holders that looked absolutely magical when lit. Not only is this a favourite wedding trend but is so hot for the 2020 season. Candles always add a beautiful sense of magic and wonder to a table design and is a must at any wedding or event. Let’s be honest, everyone has a little more fun in a golden lit space! When it comes to candles, our favourite saying is always more is more! Continuing with the Christmas theme, Nico graced the tables with chic gold rimmed underplates, opulent gold cutlery and the daintiest glassware including chic gold rimmed champagne flutes! Brides, if you haven’t seen N Concepts and Designs hiring catalogue, you simply have to. Wedding heaven is an understatement. One of our favourite decor elements seen were the fabulous large scale clear perspex plinths. In this Christmas shoot, we donned the tops with champagne coolers filled with bubbly and wine to celebrate the start of the holidays!
When you hear Anli Wahl Floral, Design by Marcel and Mabel M Florals in one sentence, you just know it is going to be something exceptional and out of this world. As you can guess, these floral masters delivered just this and so much more. We don’t always get to see the time and effort that goes into creating bespoke installations and what a treat it was seeing these floral designers (read maestros) in action. Large steel chandeliers were elegantly adorned with lush trailing florals. If you’re having an outdoor wedding, this is an amazing way to create statement focal points for your summer soiree! Textures, tones and trailing elements were the order of the day and needless to say it was truly something to behold. These floral masterpieces were taken a step further with the addition of naked bulbs to illuminate these bespoke pieces as the nighttime sky gently creeped in. Anli, Marcel and Mabel - it was such a honour to witness your incredible work ethic and creativity in person!
If you’ve ever had the pleasure of meeting Nadia from Troues in die Wynland, you will know that she is an absolute darling. Nadia created the most incredible Christmas favour boxes delicately packaged with champagne ribbon and vinyl place card. The perfect 2 in 1, these favour boxes are such a fun element for your guests and spreads the Christmas cheer the second you take your seat! Nadia also created custom gold vinyls with Christmas sayings that were neatly placed on various candle holders to add a luxurious and opulent feel to the table. The pièce de résistance was the gorgeous perspex signage hanging above the decadent and delicious dessert table. If you’re looking for a fun and festive way to add some drama to your tables, this is it! Thank you Nadia for your incredible creativity - it is always such a treat to work with you!
Nooitgedacht Estate is well known for their decadent and delicious meals and without making your mouth water, the fabulous canapé spread and delectable dessert table blew our socks off! Bitterballen, layered bruschetta and bilinis were just some of the savoury canapés prepared by the talented chefs at Nooitgedacht! Our very own Kath Ballantyne (Director of SA Weddings) prepared her famous savoury tartlets which mind you, are divine! The sweet table included some festive favourites! Every single sweet delight looked absolutely moreish and tasted so nice! The team at Nooitgedacht created a layered pavlova - the perfect sharing dessert, dusted doughnuts, giant marshmallows, the prettiest Christmas cake and the most delectable cupcakes with an added dash of sparkle for festive cheer! Kath baked her moist and delicious rich chocolate cake beautifully adorned with fresh white roses! As pretty as a picture and not a single crumb left.
Our friends at Anura Vineyards made sure the evening was festive and fun! Lance, a dear friend of SA Weddings sponsored palette favourites including Anura Brut Methode Cap Classique as well as a selection of Chardonnay and Rosé wines for the special occasion. Easy on the lips and so refreshing, the wines truly showed off! To add to the festivities, guests enjoyed Anura’s much loved Dutch Republic pre mixed G&T’s. The Gin and tonic is hand crafted and made with be most premium ingredients to ensure a delicious out of this world experience! Sounds pretty awesome!
Make up and hair gurus Chanel Olivier and Yvonne de Wet glammed the girls up to really get us into he spirit of Christmas. Needless to say, our personal glam session was just what the doctor ordered and we all looked and felt fabulous. Chanel and Yvonne wowed us with their incredibly talents, out of this world creativity and stylish finishing - the girls certainly felt like Christmas angels after walking out of the make up seats. Brides, if you’re looking for exceptional makeup and hair artists for your big day, you heard it here first!
The leading lady behind the lens was none other than the amazing Samantha Clifton Photography. Her gentle demeanour and quirky sense of humour made the afternoon fun and festive. Don’t even get us started on how incredible the photographs look. Every single detail was captured with surgical precision and no stone left unturned.
