Tell us your love story, how did it all begin?

It all began through a picture of me that he saw on Facebook. He could not stop thinking about me and decided to hunt me down. It wasn't easy - he had to twist a friend's arm to provide him with my contact details, but as soon as I answered the phone and organised to meet. And the rest, as they say, is history…

How did he propose?

Being the traditionalist he is, he admitted that he is sending his uncle over to my dad to pay the Lobola at home. Of course I was delighted to hear the good news!

How did you find the planning process?

The planning process was fun, but quite hectic! Luckily we had our friends and family to assist us every step of the way. We also made use of SA Weddings' bridal directory to find the vendors of our dreams.

Where did you draw your planning inspiration from?

We knew exactly what we wanted, which was an elegant and sophisticated wedding. The internet inspired us with ideas on how we could pull this off

What was the most memorable and special part of your wedding day?

It was definitely when we were exchanging our vows.

What was your wedding theme and why did you choose it?

We didn't have a theme for our wedding, but did add a bit of tradition into the ceremony. After the wedding we did UMabo, which is traditional wedding. Other than that, we focussed everything around elegance.

What song did you choose for your opening dance and why?

When I found you, by Bee and Cee

Anything you would like to tell other brides-to-be/grooms-to-be who are busy planning their big day?

It is better to start preparing far in advance and allocate enough time to execute each element.

Did you go on honeymoon and if so, where did you go?

We went to Indonasia (Bali) and stayed at a lovely hotel called the Mulia
