Through a friend's recommendation who told me to add Nick on Instagram raving about how handsome he was, we started liking each others pics and he commented on a pic of me and I slid into his DMs lol. We met a few days later and the rest is history.
Nick booked a weekend at the Drakensberg Sun Hotel. He booked a helicopter flight that flew us over the mountains and dropped us off on a beautiful peak with a picnic basket. Nick dropped down on one knee and I said yes!
It was stressful, my dad was diagnosed with Cancer in April, he encouraged us that we get moving with our wedding. We started planning our wedding shortly after to ensure my dad could attend, he very sadly passed on the 15th of August.
A lot of inspiration was drawn from Pinterest, and our own personal taste.
It’s so hard to pinpoint one time, it was truly a magical day, however I would have to say having my mom and brother walk me down the aisle and give me away to Nick, I’m pretty sure Nick would agree. It was an emotional but beautiful moment.
Classic, crisp and elegant. We went with white, greenery and rose gold. It was absolutely stunning if I do say so myself. Charlene Georgiades at Chez Charlene brought our fairytale to life. The attention to detail was magnificent.
I’ve always liked figure hugging dresses opposed to princess style, I loved the idea of a dress that looked painted onto your body. I saw a few pictures on Instagram I incorporated into my dream dress, Sew Couture just absolutely blew me away and really made me feel like a queen as I watched them build a masterpiece. I am honoured to represent them as a brand. For my bridesmaids I went for blush tones to blend beautifully with the rose gold detail in our venue. The girls looked absolutely gorgeous.
I am a huge flowers lover, we wanted bold and beautiful. All White was just perfection for our day representing new beginnings. Our flower arrangements were made up of lisianthums, hydrangeas and orchids, a touch of white proteas and white roses in glass clutches. Touches of rose gold highlighted our tables and really brought them to life
We chose “make you feel my love” by Adele. A friend of mine Peyton with her incredible voice sang as we did our first dance, lol it wasn’t a planned or taught dance by any means Haha but it was perfect for us.
