Heike and Barry-Jon's engagement shoot
Barry-Jon and I met 14 years ago in High School. We ended up being in the same class every year. We started off as friends, but as we grew closer, our love grew stronger.
We've known each other for 14 years – dating more or less 9 of those 14 years.
Both of us are exceptionally loving and affectionate towards each other, we love to laugh and make jokes together. We both have soft hearts and a strong love for the Lord. I'm a big go-getter and Barry-Jon is very confident and has a passion for helping people. Many of his patients are children, which makes him an excellent listener. What more can a girl ask for?
Barry-Jon planned an entire day filled with amazing activities, including a half day at the spa, followed by lunch at Cavalli in Stellenbosch and then romantic sundowners on Table Mountain. It was there that he popped the question! After that, we went for a fun-filled dinner at Star Dust.
The shoot was included into our wedding photography package.
We wanted an urban, yet modern engagement shoot and, along with our photographer, decided on various locations within Cape Town.
Two words: Urban Elegance
He designed my ring himself and had a professional jeweller make his exact design. He designed the ring according to exactly what I wanted to the T. He wanted my ring to be stunning and one of a kind - like me.
We did make use of a wedding planner, but I was very involved in the planning. The planner only coordinated the day, not all the planning leading up to it.
