Music and entertainment is such an important part of the wedding day and is often overlooked. We've got good news though, brides! Well-known South African musician, Louise Day, launches her business The Wedding Party, which is designed to simplify your life and make the planning process so much easier.
Music and entertainment are often over-looked when planning a wedding, but if you’ve been a bride or groom, you’ll know the importance of this item on the checklist. This is where The Wedding Party comes in - they have an extensive book of tried and tested solo artists, bands and DJs that have proven track records and significant experience gained over the years – perfect for your wedding – from ceremony through to pre-drinks and the reception.
The Wedding Party was created out of the necessity to cater for all aspects of entertainment on a wedding day. As a bride and groom, you should have the luxury of savouring every moment of your special day without worrying about whether the artist you’ve booked can sing in tune or whether the DJ is simply playing a mix he downloaded from YouTube the night before. Whether you are local to South Africa or trying to organise your special day from abroad, we understand how hard it can be to piece together the musical aspects of your wedding.
The Wedding Party was an idea born out of co-founder Dan Green’s experience of playing in the well-known cover band ‘Me & Mr Green’. As part of the most sought after party acts in South Africa. Dan noticed that the entertainment side of the wedding was often neglected, and quite often a panicked last minute stress for both bride and groom. Dan then partnered with musician, Louise Day to put together the perfect mix of experience, contacts, and know-how in order to provide a world-class entertainment solution for any size and theme wedding.
Louise Day adds, “From being in the music industry and playing at many weddings over the years I have always realized the special impact that music has on one of the most important days in a couple’s life. It was, however, when I got married last year that I really realised how much was involved in making the music happen perfectly. Dan and I saw that there was a real need to work with couples on this element and so The Wedding Party was born.”
From ceremony to canapés, and pre-drinks to dance floor reception, The Wedding Party team can put together a solution that suits any pocket and any dream.
