The SA Weddings team recently hosted a networking event at the beautiful Saxon Hotel. Offering the ultimate luxury oasis on ten landscaped acres in Sandhurst, Johannesburg- this prime property is known for it's abundant tranquility and the welcoming tree-lined avenue instantly allows you to realise that you've arrived.
The proudest boast for this luxe hotel though is that our former president and Nobel Prize-winner Nelson Mandela chose this spot as his sanctuary in which to complete his autobiography, Long Walk to Freedom.
An evening event promising networking opportunities with top industry professionals at this magnificent setting was the ultimate place to unwind after a Tuesday in-office. The SA Wedding team is committed to getting around SA this year, hosting regular networking events as a way for service providers to come together and socialise around all things 'weddings'. We see this as a very positive step forward for the booming industry. Our personal feelings are that there is more than enough business to go around and it being essential to continually create, recreate and strengthen relationships and supplier networks.
With beautiful cheese platters and flowing wine on offer, we all socialised well after proposed home-time after listening to a presentation by SA Weddings owner and founder, Craig Ballantyne, on the exciting new developments behind the site and it's content development for what promises to be a successful and booming 2017!
We'd like to thank the Saxon for being the most incredible partner in the success of this event,as well as for their professionalism and outstanding quality of service during the event.
Thanks to all our valued service providers and wedding professionals who were able to attend, and to the ones who weren't there this time- we look forward to our next event together.
Finally, a huge thanks to Wynand Van der Merwe for the beautiful photographs below and for capturing the magic on our behalf.
