Renowned as one of Cape Town’s most precious hidden gems, Tintswalo Atlantic is a five-star boutique lodge nestled on a pebbled beach at the foot of the ocean-facing Table Mountain National Park. The award-winning property is blessed with panoramic views of the picturesque Hout Bay Harbour, dramatic Sentinel mountains peak, and the Atlantic Ocean beyond.
Walking into this magnificent lodge for the first time, we can honestly say that we were completely blown away! As locals, we felt as if we transported into paradise. After taking some time admiring the incredible views, we were taken to our island Suite, Lamu. Lamu Island is a Swahilian island just off the East coast of Africa, and formerly a penal colony. The interior design of this room showcases the fun, natural and organic elements that typify this stretch of coastline, and lends to a distinctly African feel.
Each of the suites has a unique design and theme – paying tribute to the beauty of nature and the rich heritage of the lodge's surroundings.
On the evening of our stay, we were treated to a delectable four course dinner and a magnificent breakfast the following morning with scenic views to die for!
The Tintswalo Atlantic kitchen team endeavours to create memorable meals from fresh, locally-sourced and sustainable ingredients. The lodge dining room leads out onto an expansive wooden deck, and enjoys sublime ocean views and fresh sea air. Inside, the open-plan kitchen layout offers interactive cooking opportunities to guests who might enjoy sipping a glass of wine while watching the chef prepare meals, or discussing cooking techniques with the head chef.
Tintswalo Atlantic has introduced a special ‘Winter Warmer’ package for SA Residents, complete with all-enveloping comforts and gourmet cuisine, at R7060 per night for two people sharing. Valid until 31 August 2018, the Winter Warmer includes luxury accommodation in one of the 10 ocean-facing king suites, as well as light lunch on arrival with welcome bottle of wine, and a delicious full breakfast the next morning. Airport and/or Waterfront transfers are also included.
