What sets Piper-Heidsieck apart from other champagnes? What is the history behind the brand? How is it best enjoyed?

We're here to give you the lowdown on our official event sponsor for 2019, Piper-Heidsieck, as we answer everything you need to know about this seductively delicious champagne brand.

Tell us a bit about Piper-Heidsieck...

There are three varietals used in the making of Piper-Heidsieck champagne, namely Pinot Noir (powerful, berry-like), Chardonnay (lively, toasty) and Meneur (fruity, fleshy). Piper-Heidsieck is situated in the Champagne district of France and was established in 1895, making it one of the oldest champagne houses.

What sets Piper-Heidsieck apart from the rest?

Piper-Heidsieck is made mostly made from Pinot Noir rather than the traditionally used, Chardonnay. A grape with flavours of berries (blueberries, blackcurrant, red currant...), quince and crusty bread is at the core of the cuvées. Refined, elegant, precise, it provides structure, power and balance to a bottle of Piper-Heidsieck.
