Founded by Lorna Scott and her family in the small fishing village of Still Bay, which is known for being the central catalyst where all humanity became creative thinkers. In recognition of two nearby world-renowned archeological sites and its numerous findings, Inverroche has created the Creative Collection.
After the roaring launch success of the No.1 Coco Carissa, which appealed to the already prevalent adventurous hearts in the South African gin consumer, it was only natural for Lorna and her team to work on its predecessor. The No.2 Coco L'Orange was born earlier this year and features some historically significant botanicals such as saffron derived from the Crocus sativus flower, orange blossom of the Citrus sinensis tree and seeds from the Theobroma cacao tree merged to fashion this liquid of world-class quality.
No.2 Coco L'Orange is a gin with zesty character and a hint of beautiful spices. On the nose, you will have dark chocolate, orange blossoms, coffee beans and toasted hot cross buns arise. The palate will be delighted with layers of caramel fudge, candied ginger, rooibos and marmalade, followed by honey and hay underpinned by subtle juniper and a pinch of pepper. Ending off with a long and warm bite of cinnamon and a burst of welcome sweet citrus, inverroche has excelled in taste and quality with this addition.
Dramatic, bold, mysterious, strong and charismatic is what describes this gin best.
You will need:
50ml Inverroche Coco l’Orange
25ml Honey syrup
25ml Lemon juice
Grab your trusty cocktail shaker and toss in the above ingredients. Shake off the week and then fine strain the left over weekend vibes into a coupette glass.
The Creative Collection aims to start conversations about our common origins, our current actions and the future so ripe with possibility. Let us harness the power of creativity to set in motion a sustainable tomorrow.
