The fireplaces were lit throughout the beautiful manor house, creating a cosy atmosphere that was especially welcome on a crisp Midlands winter's day. From the moment we arrived, the genuine hospitality of the Hartford House team stood out, setting the tone for an unforgettable stay.
During our visit, Mandla took us on a tour of the property, sharing his passion for this remarkable venue and showing us the various ceremony and reception spaces available to couples. From the elegant chapel, which seats up to 70 guests, to the beautifully appointed reception areas and manicured gardens, every space has been thoughtfully designed to create a memorable wedding experience. Surrounded by the rolling hills of the KwaZulu-Natal Midlands, Hartford House offers a breathtaking setting for destination weddings.
The accommodation is magnificent! Hartford House offers 17 luxurious rooms, each individually styled with its own unique character. Thoughtful touches such as lit fireplaces, heaters, electric blankets and underfloor heating ensured every room felt warm and welcoming despite the winter chill. Both dinner and breakfast were exceptional, enjoyed beside crackling fires and morning sunshine. Combined with the attentive service from the staff, every detail made us feel completely at home.
