Fabulous Festive Wreath

'Tis the season for giving and at SA Weddings HQ we sure do love a spoil. Our very own creative director Katherine Ballantyne created this fabulous festive wreath to indulge in over the festive period. Sound delicious? Keep on reading to find out how to make it.



60g plain flour
Sifted salt and cayenne pepper
45g cold butter diced
60g Parmesan cheese grated
Star shaped cookie cutter
Brie Cheese,
Fresh cherries
Sliced nectarines or plums
Preserved figs
Mint or Rosemary


Preheat oven to 180’C
Place flour, a pinch of salt and cayenne pepper, butter and parmesan in a food processor
Pulse to form a smooth dough
Roll out dough on a floured surface to a 0.5cm thickness
Use your star shaped cookie cutter to stamp out your biscuits
Place your cut-out shapes onto parchment lined baking sheets 2cm apart
Once completed, refrigerate for 30min
Bake for 8min or until golden brown
Cool completely on a wire rack before decorating

Arrange your biscuits in a circular shape and layer.
Adorn your creation with Brie Cheese, fresh cherries, sliced plums or nectarines, preserved figs, raspberries, mint or rosemary and once completed drizzle with honey.

Enjoy with a chilled flute of Piper Heidsieck Brut Champagne. Enjoy!
