There is nothing that we love more than bubbles and brunch, and when enjoyed with new and old industry friends it certainly is a match made in heaven! We enjoyed a fabulous end of year networking event with some of the best wedding planners in the Western Cape at the forum | embassy hill. A morning filled with laughter and chatter, some amazing talks and of course an incredible site visit of this picturesque property in Constantia.
When you hear about the forum group, you immediately get a picture in your head of pure opulence and luxury and embassy hill certainly is no exception. Nestled in the Constantia Valley, just 15 minutes from the Cape Town city centre, embassy hill is a marriage of old and new where manicured gardens, historic architecture, carefully selected decor and natural light harmoniously blend into a secluded, charming space! Stylish interiors and chic touches add the perfect finishing touch to your dream wedding celebration. This five-star graded venue with multi-functional intimate spaces set against the scenic backdrop of the breath-taking Constantia mountains, is the stuff wedding dreams are made out of. With onsite accommodation and complete privacy, saying 'I do' here will be magical!
Guests were treated to the most decadent brunch spread consisting of sweet and savoury dishes, prepared by the in house chef at embassy hill! The perfect bite sized snacks were perfectly paired with crisp MCC from Steenberg. As we welcome in the warmer weather, Las Paletas kept us cool with an array of mouth watering ice lollies. Needless to say this was a sure crowd pleaser! Of course no brunch is complete without live music and the romantic duo MyOh! My kept us well entertained with their soulful sounds and upbeat tunes! In addition to the above, we were treated to two very insightful talks from the forum groups very own Jono Lawson. His charming demeanour and captivating personality ensured we were all ears! Olivier Fauveaux a Parisian Perfumist captivated the crowds with his incredible knowledge and insight. From cola scented bubbles to scented ice rinks - Olivier kept us well entertained with his wit and charm. A true Parisian personified!
In true SA Wedding style, the morning was not complete without a surprise giveaway! Kath baked the most decadent rich chocolate cake decorated with fresh florals for one lucky vendor. In addition to the above, bottles of wine and a one year subscription to SA Weddings was handed out to a lucky winner. What a fabulous spoil! The leading lady behind the lens was none other than uber talented Nikki van Diermen. She captured the most incredible shots which truly represent the splendour of the morning. Thank you so much Nikki.
This was such a fabulous networking morning and time off for us all! As wedding industry professionals, the season had started and a nice little breather mid week is the perfect way to get those batteries recharged. We so enjoyed meeting new friends and catching up with the old ones. We certainly look forward to many more!
