10 Handy Items To Keep On You For Your Wedding Day

There are always those last-few essentials that no bride should be without on her wedding day, here are a few of our favourite must-haves to remember to pack in.

Bride's emergency kit for the big day!

While we all hope there won't be any last-minute emergencies on your special day, it's always better to be safe than sorry. It's vital to have those just-in-case items to make sure your dream wedding takes flight. Your maid of honour should pack each item in a tote bag and stash it in a safe but obviously easy-to-access place during the wedding reception.

DIY Items

If you're planning on making your own emergency kit, here's a list of essential (and some optional) items to pack:

Breath Mints: Get your mouth ready for that first kiss with mini mints.
Tweezers: From stray hairs to clumped lashes, you never know when these will come in handy.
Blotting paper: Keep shine away with oil-absorbing sheets.
Clear polish: Smooth out any unexpected chips for the perfect #ringselfie.
Lipstick: Touch up your lips often with a mini tube in your shade of choice.
Tissues: For dabbing away happy tears (and keeping your eye makeup on point).
Hair spray: Splurge on a high-quality formula to make sure your do' stays put.
Fragrance: Dab a scent on your pulse points to smell amazing all day.
Face mist: Just one spritz of this spray will make sure your makeup stays fresh and it will also calm your skin.
Stain remover: Pack a portable stain removing pen for any sudden spills.
Fashion tape: A quick fix for falling hemlines—and those plunging necklines.

Another great idea would be to personalise and monogram your items to suit you or even your wedding theme. We love Mayday Creative Studio's work, so take a browse through our site for some inspiration from our wedding professionals!

Optional DIY Items

We find that these little treats are a passable option as it is most likely that your wedding coordinator, venue manager and even your mum might have these tucked away in her handbag! But, if you'd like to take extra caution- be sure to not leave the house without the following:

Aspirin - to take away your pre-wedding gitters.
Band-Aids - just in case you have a trip-up in your heels.
Dental floss/toothpicks - when the canapes are just that good.
Granola bars or other easy-to-carry snacks - these are to tide you over in the long hours of your wedding photos.
Super Glue - these are for nail fixes, shoe heels, decorations, even jewels.
Sunblock - (if you'll be outdoors)
