Walking on the aisle with my mother & being handed over to my dad, I have never seen my parents beaming with so much pride & happiness. Seeing the groom my husband with the biggest smile ever as he looked at me & saw me for the first time in my wedding gown our eyes locked & nothing else mattered at that moment as we both smiled with laughter.
Being around my family & friends during such a lifetime event, being pampered & finally feeling like a princess just as I had imagined it as a little girl.
No, not yet.
My Wedding look was of a perfect princess
Wedding Gown - The best of both worlds - Conservative & Modern look by Fredas Continental
I wore a one of a kind gown specially custom designed to my specifications. The gown was made with a white & silver crystal sparkling lace, queen style ball gown with a 2m trail. It had a conservative full sleeve & unique dangling piece of crystals on the other arm. I wore an extra large petticoat piece under much like the 1900s to give it the extra puff & structure to the ball gown. The veil was custom made to 3m to come just in line with the back of the dress with a finite beaded border matching the dress to give it the elegant effect.
Hair by Ruutos Brides- The special part about my wedding hairstyle is that it was done by my hair stylist who I have been with for more than a decade. I remember always seeing her prepare & style so many brides hair that I always knew that when my special day comes it would have to be her - Ruutos Brides
My hairstyle was a low chignon with side effortless pinned glam waves, accessorized with a crown
We got married in a hidden gem in Johannesburg, North Riding called The Garden Venue. Our matrimonial service took place in their exquisite gardens, a lush landscape with tropical palms & indigenous trees. Our aisle was on the cascading flowing Koi ponds with schools of gold & orange Japanese Koi fish which added an exotic touch to this already remarkable space, guests were seated on decks surrounding the Koi ponds & all eyes were on me as the bride as I made my way down the stairs & walked over the boardwalk to the ceremony space. Our guests were wowed from the moment they drove down the garden tree lined drive way & distinctive architecture lavishly landscaped gardens punctuated by multiple water features.
Our Guests also got to enjoy canapes & welcome drinks while admiring the Koi ponds.
The reception ceremony took place in the Elephant hall adjacent to the Koi pond pavilion which boasts the thatch architectural style & light marble tiled floors delighting in a neutral colour palette with giant windows showcasing the ponds view.
We had a romantic spacious decorated honeymoon suite with red petals on the bed shaped in a heart with dimmed lights to create a romantic ambience with refreshments for the special evening & some of our guests slept over.
Health & fitness - 8 months prior to the wedding I joined Personal training expert gym & I trained 5 days a week for an hour with the guidance & support of a professional trainer in alignment with a customized diet that was specially structured for me to reach my fitness & health goals.
Sne's mobile spa treatments became part of my monthly routine - where I was pampered with frequent massages
