Magical Moments

Looking back on our wedding day everything was a highlight from the friends and family get to know braai right through to the last two guest leaving, one with half of our wedding cake and the other with our seating arrangement board(till this day we have not seen that board).

My(bride) most memorable moment was probably the moment when I walked into the ceremony and saw my soon to be husband standing on the end of the aisle. I remember thinking that I have waited 9 years for this day and it was finally happening. I get to marry my best friend, life coach and partner! The tears came pouring down as the rain did later that night.

The Honeymoon

At first it was supposed to be a surprise for both of us as my husband's father arranged everything. Of course I wanted to know what to pack and they had to tell us eventually. We went to Zanzibar! What a magical place with the most interesting people. Both of us loves to explore new cultures and obviously their food. This was the perfect place. We almost missed our flight because we were eating at the airport, so that says a lot about us. Not knowing what the climate my husband flew with long pants and almost passed out when we arrived in Zanzibar. He tried to cool off in the swimming pool but in his word "the swimming pool is the temperature of my bath water." Except for the heat the place was magical and we would go back any time.

My Special Day

The wedding look was a mix between bohemian and modern. As I do not like hairstyles that looked stiff(does not fit with my personality), I went for n lower bun with loose hair all over. Wedding dress was an Enzoani from Bridal emporium Bloemfontein. I went with elegant white heels form seperballist. The ring was made by Manser jewelry and earrings from Lovisa.
Make-Up was done by Micayla @ make-up Artistry by Micayla. Hair was done by Riandri@ beauty Box

The Venue

We got married on a game farm near Bloemfontein called Amanzi Private Game reserve. There was accommodation for all 100 of our guest and that was the main reason why we chose it. There were a variety of options to chose from. From Hotel rooms to luxury suites to houses that could accommodate up to 8 guests.

My Bridal Beauty Regime

To be honest we did not spend a lot on beauty regime. I went for a few facials in the months leading up to the wedding and worked out about 3 times per week. That was about it.

Wedding Elements

The venue supplied us with most of the furniture and lighting. We used Flower it Bloem for our décor and flowers. We went for a simple arrangement of flowers with candles.

My Groom And His Groomsmen

All black for the groomsmen and my husband requested from the day that we got engaged that he wanted to wear a black suit with a black tie and white shirt. We got all of their clothes at New Shop in Vryburg.

Beautiful Bridesmaids

They wore black backless dresses from YDE.

Marriage Officer

Our long time friend and pastor Andre Von Below married us. It was supper special as him and his wife has been a big part of our relationship throughout the years.

My Captured Moments

The amazing Gwen from Willow Ray captured our special day together with Meisiekind photography that captured the very special moments on video.

The Wedding Planner

Leonaora at Amanzi helped a lot with the planning but overall we did it ourselves.

Food & Cake

Amanzi did all of the catering and the cake was made by Frans's Cousin.

The Reception and Entertainment

We love to dance with each other and do it quit a lot. We picked a song that we love dancing to(1000 miles) and just winged it. The DJ was Robert. The venue has been using him for years now and I will definitely recommend him. There were people on the dance floor from the very first song up to the last song.
