Magical Moments

There is one specific highlight of my wedding but if I am to pinpoint it was definitely see my handsome husband for the first time..
My wedding day or rather wedding week was made up of a build up of events that truly made the wedding day the absolute pinnacle.

One of my favourite moments were also when my wedding venue was revealed to us. To see all your months of planning and going back and forth come into reality and be actually better than what you expected - was truly the best!

The Honeymoon

Yes we did. Out first night we spent at a boutique hotel on the coast of Blouberg Strand in Cape Town in their honeymoon suite. We had a lovely breakfast the next morning and then rushed to the airport to catch a 11am flight to Durban. Once landed, we then went to the Durban coastal port we were embarked the MSC cruise liner which took us for cruise to the Portuguese Island.

My Special Day

As my husband states, I’m always his queen so that was definitely the theme I was going for when deciding on my wedding look. My love for pearls is also something I tired to threat through my look.
My wedding dress was made by a designer in Johannesburg under the name of Fredas Continental. It was princess style made from metres of lace and pearls. The train alone was approximately 3 metres long.
My shoe was a off white shoe encrusted with pearls and diamanté’s on the heel paired with a pearl anklet strap.
My hair was done by Vogue Hair Designs. I went for a modern wave upstyle called ridges. I then tied it with a pearl encrusted tiara and 3 metre long veil.
My make up was done by Tharwat Artistry. I wanted a shimmery silvery eye with a pink nude lip.

The Venue

Cavalli Stud and Wine Estate in the Cape Town Winelands region

Wedding Elements

The theme of my decor was pastels with a touch of gold. I like the concept of circles as they represent infinity, wholeness and timelessness so I tried to thread that through my wedding theme too.
Limitless events were in charge of my wedding decor and they definitely got the memo!
My stage was made up for 5 circular elements dressed with flowers. We had a beautiful blush pink 3-seater couch with gold details. We had our beautiful cake on a transparent pedestal as well.
The venue was dressed with fairy lights and naked bulbs hanging from the roof as well as the outside patio area.
We had an outside welcome area where the guest received non-alcoholic cocktail and canapés. These were made up of canopies dressed with chiffon sheets. Under each canopy there was a mix of cocktail tables and lounge pockets. We had a musician playing cello in the welcome area as well as a sweet cart.

Later the evening we served individual dessert and patisseries on the porch area as well as a live barista.

Beautiful Bridesmaids

I did not have official bridesmaid but I did have a bridal entourage consisting of friends be miniature bride, one paige boy, one ring-bearer and two flower girls

My Captured Moments

Yes, we had a photographer who also has done a video for us which includes drone footage. Saulegh and his team goes under the name Sofilm events.
