How did your love story begin?

Mandlesizwe & Thakasile met in the early 2000s. They grew up in the same neighbourhood. Coincidentally, they actually grew up in the same street. Whilst life moved on and the two grew up, they never thought that one day they’d end up falling head over heels in love.

In 2012, the two started chatting on social media. As time progressed, they started seeing more and more of each other and before they knew it - they started dating. Their first real date was in 2013 and they had an absolute blast.

Unfortunately, in 2015 Mandlesizwe & Thakasile suffered the great loss of their first child. It was a very difficult time for them, but the suffering made their love stronger than ever. Fast forward a few years and the couple was beyond blessed with a little baby girl. Mnqobi Thubelihle Nomathemba was born on the 3rd of March 2018. Mnqobi was a special edition to Mandlesizwe & Thakasile’s little family.

Like most relationships, there are trials and tribulations, but with those come vital life lessons. It’s safe to say that the love birds have argued, fought, loved and cared for each other beyond measure. A decade later, Mandlesizwe & Thakasile have made the exciting decision to tie the knot. Their love story is like no other. It’s a beautiful love story that entails two individuals who stood the test of love and despite all loved each other unconditionally!

May God bless them with many more decades filled with happiness, love, laughter and tremendous success!

Tell us all about the proposal.

Like any African man, he just said “December I want to go appear at your house!” And he did. After the dowry he bought a proposal ring!
