How did your love story begin?

We met in our first year during orientation week. Shared a cheeky smile. A week later we were assigned as Practical partners for Sports Science. During one of our testing session we were asked to do a blind test, which ment one person had to be blind folded and harnested to the guide. We had to complete a 2km fun run, which led to me completely forgetting about the actual fact that, I needed to guide him.

Let's just say, he was left battered and bruised and met with the pavement a few times... 10years later, we still giggle about this and now I'm planning a life with this amazing person.

Tell us all about the proposal.

Mmmm... We head off on a weekend away (Level 3) when most social travelling was banned. But shhhs! It was worth it. We arrived in Scarborough on a Friday, bearing in mind we recently celebrated Craig's 28th Birthday. I was unaware of the weekend he had planned. Friday he was quite the talkative person but on Saturday morning the 8th of August he was relatively quiet. We headed out to Kommetjie for scenic drive and came back to prepare for a picnic on a private part of the beach of Scarborough. Picnic failed epically as the wind picked up time 45km/h which left half our baskets blown across the sand. He decided to move the party indoors. As we arrived back, he mentioned that he needed to go and buy some ice. I found it odd that the Go Pro battery was on. So I turned it off! He kept switching the device on via his phone and told me don't worry, it is off. Mamela through the infamous car track sing along was playing and I suggested that this is such a groove of a song. He smiled and said really.... Well are you up for that road.... I said ofcause I am, but when we ready we can hit that road.... With in seconds he had tears in his eyes as he popped the question... Not the"" will you marry me " line but 'sal jy my boude wees vir ewig'..... The rest was left in Scarborough❤
