This upstairs venue is private with a superb view of the Marina from our ‘bow’ shaped balconies. Concertina doors slide aside to merge the two venues into one larger area suitable for weddings and parties for up to 90 guests cocktail style, or a maximum of 60 guests if a small dance area is required. If used for a sit down dinner the venue can accommodate a maximum of 70 guests. Also has it’s own private bar facilities.
Together the Chartroom and Visitors Lounge also offer the option of having a meeting/conference in a boardroom setting in the Chartroom, with a breakaway area in the Visitors Lounge. Boardroom can accomodate max 22 delegates.
This delightful intimate venue with a traditional old charm has a lovely warm ambience with its own private bar facility. Set in a position to have a perfect view of the Marina from your seat, the sliding doors open onto the deck area which is the best way to start your function with pre-drinks in a beautiful setting. The Main Hall is the heart of the Club and boasts the pride of Royal Cape Yacht Club’s sailing achievements in the trophy cabinets. With air-conditioning, numerous power points and a big class projection screen, the Main Hall can be used for conferences, luncheons, dinners, weddings and parties.
There is room for cinema style seating for 150 guests or 120 guests seated at tables. The terrace area can be added to your booking and be cleared for dancing.
The Regatta centre is a large hall adjacent to the main clubhouse that has a multitude of uses, ranging from exhibitions, auctions and workshops to dinners and parties for large groups of up to 350 people. With your imagination and the skill of our staff, this venue can be transformed into an Aladdin’s Cave, an enchanted garden, a tropical beach, a frothy pink teenage dream….
It accommodate up to 250 guests seated at tables and 450 guests for a large cocktail party or a beer fest. Bar facilities can be set up and there are newly renovated ablution facilities in the venue.
The whole waterfront side is composed of glass sliding doors giving a spectacular view onto the yacht marina, even in the wildest winter weather.
