Your wedding day is probably one of the most important days of your life. Many stressful steps lead up to that very special day. One of the most important steps is finding a marriage officer that will officiate professionally, yet friendly and in a relaxed way that will put you at ease on the day that you commit your life to one another.
I am a marriage officer registered at Home Affairs since 2001. I am based in Durbanville, Cape Town, but I will travel throughout the Western Cape when possible. I have conducted ceremonies from Grabouw to Paternoster and everywhere in between. I have done a number of weddings where foreigners are involved.
I can conduct the ceremony in English or Afrikaans as you require. The length of the ceremony is approximately 20-25 minutes but can be adapted to your requirements and requests.
Once the register is signed at the ceremony, you will be issued with a marriage certificate. All the documents will then be submitted within the required time to Home Affairs for the marriage to be registered.
Other services I can offer via contacts I have are: DJ – Sound engineer, organist/pianist, lawyer for anti-nuptial contracts and handmade wedding cards. I am also a Commissioner of Oaths and will be able to certify any copies of required documents if the originals are available.
Contact me so that we can discuss your requirements for your wedding day. You will find me to be friendly, helpful and flexible to your requirements. Whether large or small I aim to make your day unique, special, full of fun and enjoyable.
I can forward email addresses of previous couples if you wish to get references from them.
Please note: I am not registered to solemnize same-gender marriages
Looking for a marriage officer wasn't easy for us since I am not South African and we wanted to have a specific ceremony. When we met Kenny, we really liked the fact that he could answer all our questions regarding our ceremony and all the paperwork for Home Affairs. Dealing with Home Affairs is one of my worst nightmares so I was very concerned before our wedding. Kenny was well prepared for our wedding ceremony as well as for Home Affairs. He provided us great messages during our ceremony and we couldn't ask for a better one. He handed in our document to home affairs in time and dealt with them very well even when they tried to be difficult. I really appreciate Kenny's efforts for us.
THANK YOU xx THANK YOU xx THANK YOU xx
‘Thank you’ so very much for giving such a beautiful warm sermon on our wedding day
Your presence at our wedding made it very special, albeit that we hadn’t known one another for very long, your warmth and blessed words has left us with wonderful memories to reflect on
Much love Gary and Rona corns xx
Christopher and I were in desperate need of a minister to wed us after struggling for days to make an appointment to get married at Home Affairs. We were getting married out of South Africa and needed to get married legally before we departed. Kenny Slater from InHarmony Ministries was EXTREMELY helpful, polite and most accommodating.
Kenny put us at ease and arranged everything. We were welcomed into their home for our ceremony, which made it feel even more special.
From both my husband, Christopher and I, Helen; we'd like to thank you for accommodating us and being so pleasurable about everything.
You really took care of everything and made our ceremony unforgettable.

"When my wife and I decided to get married, we were concerned about who would officiate us. Then we had the privilege of meeting Kenny. Not only did he make the experience welcoming and easy, he made us feel re-assured while guiding us on what would be expected. It made the whole experience that much less stressful. For any newly weds still deciding, Kenny is great choice. "
Thanks again Kenny.

Have a great week.
Regards Sam and Ryan
We would like to thank Kenny for conducting our wedding ceremony on the 28th April 2017. It was a wonderful ceremony with warmth, light and laughter and we felt as if Kenny was an extension of our family, along with even a few tears in his eyes (although he blamed it on the wind) We appreciate how he made us feel at ease. We also appreciate that the ceremony was not too lengthy, with everyone including children able to enjoy it.
Thank You Kenny
