Magical Moments

The highlight of my big day was finally marrying my best friend in the presence of our loved ones.
We shared so many special moments from laughing throughout the wedding, sharing in the traditions of our culture with our parents and the moment they announced Mr & Mrs.

The Honeymoon

We went on honeymoon to Bali. It was so beautiful and relaxing just hat we needed after the wedding rush.

My Special Day

My wedding look broke traditional Tamil colours of wearing red.
I wore a light teal and magenta lehenga with gold embroidery and clear embellishments.
My bangles and bridal jewels were from Bollywood Jewellery.
My shoes - i wore a spiral strap gold heel from kingsmead shoes.
My hair and makeup for my wedding eve, wedding and after wedding was done by Pam of Brides and Brooms. My hair was a traditional braid with a modern twist.

The Venue

My wedding was held at the National Heritage Site= Durban Hindu Temple

My Bridal Beauty Regime

I had no specific beauty regime.

Leading up to the wedding i had a bit of laser treatment for acne scarring.
The products i started using was what got me glowing. I used and still use Dermetone which is a south african product. I love it and will never change over.

Our decor included an onstage temple setting. The colour was cream, gold and pink accents.
Table decor included a net table overlay with beadwork, indian pattern crockery and accompanying cutlery.
Flowers were a mix of pinks with drooping foliage.

My Groom And His Groomsmen

My husband wore an east meets west suit designed by ourselves. The top half included a traditional 3 piece (coat, waistcoat and shirt with tie). The bottom half was a traditional indian dhoti. The colour chosen was a light silk blue.
The suit was manufactured by Mr Executive.

Beautiful Bridesmaids

No brides maid.

In our tradition we have somebody standing up for us who represent a sister. The choice of clothing is their own.

My Captured Moments

Motionpix captured our special day (photography and videography)
Helen and her team are absolutely amazing not only as service providers but as people. Her time and patience was so appreciated by my husband and myself. Her pictures were so beautiful and we were completely happy with the end product.
