Defnitly the best day of our lives!! It was amazing to see a year and a half worth of planning and stress come together and turn into something so beautiful. We loved spending the day with our loved ones and made the best memories.
No unfortunately not.
I felt like a princess in my white puffy dress. I defnitly went for a more natural look. My hair was done to the side with a plat and soft loose curls. My shoes was very unique. I wore 'tekkies' that was custom made for the wedding. My jewellery was very plain and elegant.
Our wedding took place at Shalwyn in the beautiful Talla Valley in KZN. 40 of our guests spend the night at the venue. The accomodation was really nice and they also have a honeymoon suite 6km from the venue where the bride and bridesmaids can spend the night before the wedding.
I lost 18kg in a year . It was hard work and dedication but so worth it. I felt so confident in my dress.
Some of my decor was done by my mother. She spend hours and hours of making DIY decor and it was absolutley perfect. My mom also did all the flower arrangements and venue set up. She was my personal wedding planner.
I rented a few decorations from desire2hire in Durban North. Carryn personalize the decor for you.
The white washed 10 seater picnic table's belonges to the venue and the wimbledon chairs was rented from Muirheads in PMB. Cecil from executive Dj's supplied the lighting for the dancefloor. We had the most beautiful fairylights backdrop behind the bridal table. There were fairylights al over the hall.
The groom rented his grey suit from Eurosuits in Umhlanga. The groomsmen bought their grey chino's, white shirts and brown shoes from Mr Price. The groom and groomsmen each wore a mint colour bow tie that we rented from Eurosuit. They wore superhero socks..Superman(groom), Batman, Spideman, Ironman, Captain America and the Flash.
My Bridemaids all wore the same mint long Lace dress that was purchased from YDE.
Our Marriage officer was a family Friend.
Tammy Holiday captured our special day. She came to KZN all the way from JHB. I love the way she captures photos. Our photos are extremely amazing. She's such a people's person and goes out of her way to take a perfect photo.

The food was prepared by hambelins Catering. They are the catering suppliers for the venue. The Guests were really impressed with the food.
Our wedding cake was so devine. We had a semi naked cake. The flavours were banana and Nutela.
My husband and bridesmaid designed most of the wedding stationery. Very talented people :) The printing was done by a local print shop in Umhlanga.
The party was out of this world. My friends and family love to party so the dancefloor was full most of the time. We partied till after midnight. We did not go for dance lessons. We love to dance so no lessons were needed :) cecil from Executive Dj's kzn was our DJ for the night. He defnitly knows how to read a crowed and keep them on the dance floor.
