My simple vintage wedding

I was specific. All bridesmaids dresses and my dress were sewn by myself. Each piece of my dress was a personal reflection of my love for flowers and my husband's love for life. My husband and I are simple people, therefore my flower was singular. It was hunted out and found in vegmeflora, briardene. The name , protea but specifically Naomi. Our vintage theme matched our tastes, and proteas took the centre stage of each table, yet keeping the simplicity of our theme. Our cake was a naked cake. The attendees were whoever was close and dear to our hearts, and whoever had impacted greatly in our relationship. We went away a weekend ahead of our wedding, which I feel is important for all couples. This was to really plan the way forward after our wedding, get away from the rush, and focus on our goals after everyone had left the wedding hall. We went away with a few friends who stuck by our sides and their positivity really made us feel relaxed. Our wedding day came with a bang.I always said, I wanted to smile as I walked in the church, but cried as I left my home.... I quickly regained the smile with the euphoric feeling. Without family and friends we would not have had such a sparkly wedding.I realised the importance of unity in everything we do. I had the best maid of honour in the world, and my husband's bestman was such a dear Friend , no words can describe his huge heart. The moment we looked into each others eyes and said I Do, it became a new chapter in our lives .
I am living a beautiful life with my husband. I know we were meant to be together , perhaps years ago , but I also know our timing was perfect.
