Magical Moments

Our wedding day was one of the most perfect days of my life. The entire wedding was memorable, from the word go memories was made, from choosing the venue, to decor, to dress fittings to menu selections, all unforgettable.
What made my day special was the fact that we had all our children in our wedding and their excitement was priceless.
The highlight of my day and a scene and memory that I will remember always, was when my dad walked me into church, and when I looked up to the altar and saw the look on my husband's face when he saw me and I saw the tears just roll down his face, and an emotion swept over me that I up untill today cannot explain, it was the best feeling in the world and it locked us in a moment where no-one else existed, just us, and from then for the rest of the day I was mesmerized as I could not take my eyes off my husband and he could not take his eyes off me and our smiles got locked on our faces and could not be removed. His first reaction and look on his face was the highlight of my day, I took his breathe away and he stole my heart yet again.

The Honeymoon

We had a two week honeymoon, in which we spent right here in Cape Town, we slept at our own home, however we went out every single day, we got up and would drive out to have breakfast, we did sight seeing all over Cape Town, places we just never got to see, it felt so good to feel like a tourist in our own City, you will not believe how much there is to do in Cape Town.
Drives and picnics on the wine route, drive around the Peninsula, and picnics and day camp at secluded beaches in Cape Town, endless restaurants to have supper at, lots of shows and theatre gigs, stand up comedy , boat cruises, islands to visit, markets to visit, there is quite a few waterfronts to visit, if you dont feel like driving yourself, you can hop onto the Red Topless Bus.
We felt like tourist, and we had so much fun and we had a bit of everything, romantic days, with scenery to enhance it, we had sporty days, hiking and climbing, we had adventure days we had lazy days and we had drinking days with wine tasting, there was not one dull moment and we had a splendid holiday right at home. And we having our proper honeymoon in May 2018 when we going to the States for two weeks.

My Special Day

I went for a very plain look, nothing fancy or glitzy.
My hair was done in a short bob with what they call a "baby fringe" and the one side tucked behind my ear. Hair was done by Suzy Q Salon in Plumstead.
I had a silver diamante tiara band on head. (From Fay's Bridal in Wynberg)
I wore small studded diamante earrings and a had a silver diamante choker around my neck and a silver arm choker all from Truworths.
I had on a gold sandal with a medium heel and it tied around my ankle. ( Truworths)
My make up was done with a make-up, no make up look and I had some lash extention on. So the make up gave me that glow in my face, but it wasnt overbearing. Make- up was done by Hadassah nail and beauty salon in Mitchell's Plain
My dress was a rental, beautiful and very comfortable, very feminine and sexy everything on the dress was just right, dress was from Faye's bridal in Somerset

The Venue

Our ceremony was held at Sharon Assembly church in Portland, Mitchell's Plain
Our reception was at Schoongeazicht Estate, Klein Parys, Paarl and we slept over at the guest house.

My Bridal Beauty Regime

I drank lots of water to keep my skin hydrated so it would have that glow, I used my facial products by Isabella Garcia, I went to gym once or twice a week to get a work out, just for that added energy and vibrance. I also tried to eat healthy as far as possible

Wedding Elements

Decor was done by the venue, we went for a rustic look and the venue was in an old wine cellar, they had stone wall, so we didnt need much decor, we had draping from the roof, bare tables with just a gold runner and gold underplates with white serviettes, we had a gold chandelier on each table, just flowers on the bridal table, we had two beautiful big bouquets of fresh flowers at the church and our hand bouquets was also made of toilet papers

My Groom And His Groomsmen

The groom had a black suit with gold waste coat and gold tie, the bestman and groomsmen had black suits with black waste coats with black bow ties
Suits were rented at Mr Suits in Belville, flowers was done by Pam, from Mitchell's Plain

Beautiful Bridesmaids

My bridesmaids wore gold silk and chiffon dresses with a soft cream lace bodice, they had upstyles with their hair and they had on gold sandals and chokers around their necks, dresses was hand made by Dinah February which has her own home sewing business at Retreat

Wedding Transport

We made use of Audi Arrivals which provided us with three Audi's for the day,
Andre and his drivers was very proffessional, on time and very helpful and patient.I would definitely use them again

Food & Cake

We had a buffet that was prepared at the venue, we had pre-drinks and there was a cash bar for those who felt they needed that extra kick.
Food was served on time and warm and very delicious, desserts was to die for it was well worth the price.
We had a three tier wedding cake which was made with perfection by Donita Abrahams

Wedding Stationery

Our wedding invitations was hand made by Donita Abrahams

The Reception and Entertainment

Party was awesome, we had a DJ, Ryan from Mitchell's Plain who saw to all the sound and music and he played beautiful music and later on all the dance jams, which had us all dancing.
We didnt take dance lessons we just danced as the music took us and our firsy dance was a hit!
