Every second was a memorable moment but what stood out for me was the ceremony. The ceremony was everything I ever dreamed of. It felt so intimate, spiritual and joyous. Due to the restrictions we had only the most important people around us and that made it even more special. I didnt mess up any words while doing my vows which is every bride or grooms fear but during the ceremony I kissed my soon to be husband before the priest said we must kiss so that was hilarious. It was a honest mistake I promise.
Sadly, because travelling was a not allowed during this time we were heart broken to not be able to go to Italy as planned. We decided to spend a week in Franschoek which was so beautiful. Franschoek is now our new mini getaway trip destination.
I decided to go for a look that still represents me and I chose a look that I feel the most beautiful in. My hair and make up was done by Nafeesa. Nafeesa is one hidden gem, she has a small business and is absolutely amazing. She owns her own make up studio and does make up classes. I can't put it into words how professional and outstanding her work is. She did soft curls for me and a radiant simple make up look. My wedding dress was made by Enzoni and was purchased from Tying the knot bridal store. I chose a tight fitting slight mermaid style dress with an absolutely beautiful lace trail. My choice of wedding dress was in every way influenced by a feeling and this just felt right. I fitted on a maximum 6 dresses and I just knew. My necklace and earings was borrowed by my mother. Weddings bands was designed by the diamond guy in cape town. Lingerie was chosen by me and bought by Bras n Things. I chose a white sexy laced lingerie.

Cut down chips and chocolate and hydrated regulary. We allowed ourselves once a week to treat ourselves as restrictions to that extent is not always good for you mentally. We didnt stress ourselves to absolutely starve oneself but also did not want gain unecessary weight. Usual skin routines at home, I didnt want to change up my skin routine to a point that my skin feels it needs to act up. Morning and evening wash with Garnier facial wash. Once a week face mask. I used body shop tea tree. I had my nails done by one of my closest friends Olga. She owns her own nail studio in table view. She is an absolute gem. I love supporting small businesses My Pedicure and wax was done by Glambar in greenpoint. Glambar is the only place I trust doing waxes :).

Yes, we took dance lessons but we messed up our dance moves. Nerves got the best of us. I had dance lessons done by a talented dancer Brandon. Sound and DJ was done by Sean Skippers. One of my dads friends, he also was the MC. He truly made the evening fun.
