My highlights were walking down the aisle with my proud mother, and seeing my Engel, waiting for me at the altar......and of course, to celebrate our day with all our family and dearest friends.
Yes, we went to Bali. We explored the beautiful Ubud, Seminyak, Nusa Penida Island and Kuta.
What an amazing experience!
I wanted a beautiful wedding dress - it had to make a statement! I got my dream dress as a wedding gift from my mum, with the assistance of Calegra in Cape Town. My hair and makeup had to be effortless. My jewellery was minimalistic - I got a beautiful Pandora bracelet from my mum and beautiful earrings from my mother-in-law (not sure where it was from).
My shoes was a hard one to find, because I started looking for wedding shoes in the winter and couldn't find anything in store or online. I didn't want to spend a fortune on the shoes, because I was only going to wear it that day. I saw plain white blocked heal shoes on Zando for R300. My mother-in-law had a great idea to use my sister-in-law's old wedding shoes' lace on my plain white shoes. It immediately changed into a beautiful pair of wedding shoes.

My husband is from Trawal, a very small town near Vredendal on the West Coast. We got married in a church in Klawer.
My husband is very sentimental and he wanted to celebrate our wedding day, with our family and friends, on their farm. So we transformed the huge barn into a magical wedding venue.
Our family and friends came for the weekend and stayed in guest houses, B & B's and lodges from Clanwilliam to Van Rhynsdorp and Vredendal.
Every month I went for a facial treatment, whether it was for a chemical peel or a dermapen treatment - Elizabeth Rossouw Velsorg & Skoonheid, Vredendal.
I have skin that is prone to breakouts, so I asked my doctor to prescribe some probiotics, which helped a lot.
I got botox on my forehead.
I went for teeth whitening.
I didn't exercise as often as I should've ... but that didn't bother me much.
My decor was beautiful. My fairy tale wedding dream came true.
We hired everything from To Nett's, but did the set-up ourselves.
The groomsmen, bridesmaids, mother-in-law, Tannie Anne-Marie Hofmeyer from Just Flowers Worcester and some friends and family - everyone had a helping hand in transforming the barn into a beautiful wedding venue.
We had naked wooden tables and clear Tiffany chairs with white pillows on each chair. Greenery and white flowers on the tables.(So greatful for the amazing service and love Tannie Anne-Marie put into the flowers and decor.) Crystal candle holders. The roof had plenty of fairy lights. The dance floor and the seating area were separate. Above the dance floor was fairy lights and some Chinese balls hanging from the roof.

My Maid of Honor got her dress at Bride & Co and my girls wore light pinkish dresses with glitter on from YDE.
Cornis Botha from Wellington was our marriage officer.
Danelle Stofberg was in charge of capturing our special day. She also took our engagement pics. Danelle was super professional on both occasions.
There was an informal photo booth, where guest could take selfies. We provided all the props.
No, we did not have a wedding planner. My mother-in-law coordinate everything.
Without my mum's love and moral support and mother-in-law's know-how, we wouldn't have had our dream day.
Being two farming families, we used our own Toyota's! Team Bride got to the church with the families' Fortuners, and Team Groom with FJ Cruisers.
The wedding car was my mom's silver Fortuner.
Joaneske Nel made our beautiful wedding cake.
And a lady we know made the most amazing food, Ronel.
Carmen of SIDA Signs, Paarl and Carina du Toit from Worcester were in charge of the designs and printing of all the props, stationary, etc. Very professional and gave us exactly what we wanted.
We had a DJ, we ordered his service via Dirkie Geldenhuys.
