The Honeymoon

We went on Honeymoon to Singapore and Bali.
We spent two phenomenal weeks travelling and we had the most majestic time. Singapore absolutely had my heart with us doing Universal Studios, Extreme Swing, VR Room and just enjoying Hotel Boss and our room on the 15th Floor!
In Bali we stayed in the Rani Hotel for 2 nights and then went to Hotel Tjampuhan for 5 nights. We explored The Rice Terraces, Coffee Plantations, Monkey Forest, The water temple and my definite winner was Waterbom!

My Special Day

Wedding look was pretty plain and simple, but also elegant. I had my hair in loose long curls, with the front pieces tied out of my face, which was done by Dianne. My make up was done by Alicia, Blush Beauty By Alicia, gold on the eyelids and a redish plum lip colour. She also used the most amazing foundation, that lasted the entire day.

The Venue

We got married on a wine estate in Paarl, which had the option of some guests staying the night.

My Bridal Beauty Regime

Haha!! This is actually a funny one. I had no fitness regime. I literally just lost weight naturally. Think it might have been stress. I only had my hair treated by Dianne, which is the owner of Blush Beauty by Dianne. I didn't go for any spa treatments. I did a number of at home body scrubs which I have found to be extremely efficient.

Wedding Elements

Ahhh... I loved my decor! It was just beautiful. I had mirror boxes on each table with a orchid in the centre of each table. My colour scheme was royal and cobalt blue with white and silver. I had lights that were also provided by by our DJ for the evening. Throughout the day, it was filled with fairy lights.

Beautiful Bridesmaids

My bridesmaids wore infinity dresses provided by Chelsea B Boutique, which they absolutely adored. Dominique, owner of Chelsea B was just magnificent with making the dresses. The ladies looked beautiful and felt extremely comfortable.

Marriage Officer

Pastor Eddy from Good Hope Christian Centre. He was amazing! We went for marriage classes with him at the church before we got married as well. The marriage course we did was called I chose you, how fitting!!

My Captured Moments

It was captured by Ruberns Photography, who is owned by a lovely couple and his wife. Ruwan unfortunately was ill on the day but his amazing wife, Berndaise was there with another lady to capture the special moments! We unfortunately didn't have a photobooth as the one we booked and paid for didn't show up on the day.

The Wedding Planner

We didn't have a planner unfortunately, I did everything by myself.

Food & Cake

We had the Velvet cake company make our cake and oh my gosh it was amazing!! The cake was just so yummy, it was unbelievable!!

Wedding Stationery

We actually did all our stationery, I am pretty creative!!

The Reception and Entertainment

We didn't take dance lesson, hubby felt he was too much of a good teacher, so we played around with our first dance and only finalised it the night before the wedding. Our sound and lighting was done by DJ R-Line, he was great, he brought extra lighting that wasn't included in the package he quoted me on. He actually thought outside the box as even though I discussed load shedding with the venue before the wedding and they assured me that they had a generator, it didn't seem to work on the day, luckily our DJ had a back up plan that kept going for about 40 mins before a full 2.5 hours of darkness and silence.
