From the moment I woke up there was excitement in the air. I could see the guests arrive. Friends from Italy and family from Australia that we haven’t seen in years. But the ultimate moment was seeing my husband in church waiting in front and when the words: I now pronounce you husband and wife was said.
It was all booked for Cape Town a month after the wedding but two weeks after the wedding a medical emergency happened and we still have not had time to go away. We did have a short break in the bush which was lovely
My dress had beautiful details of beading and long sleeve as we had a winter wedding. We did my hair with a bit of curl. Initially it was up but it kept falling down so we just left it down. Accessories was just three tear drop earrings. Getting flat wedding shoes was the most difficult part and had to order them from the USA, they were perfect with beautiful beading and little crystals.
Alevi Guest Farm in White River
The guests that did live in the area all stayed at the venue
The only thing I did do was teeth whitening. The rest of the time I was just enjoying the journey
I am a very classic person by nature. The less is more approach. So the flowers and decor was all white, candles and glass. Sarah-Marie from Lush flowers went the extra mile and made everything so beautiful. We did hire in lights that covered the whole roof from Cater World. It gave a very warm atmosphere which is what we were aiming for being winter. Sakkie from AVS Hire was in charge of all sound and music.
They were all in black suits with matt silver ties and pocket squares. Euro Suit and also Nevills in Riverside Mall
Eunice Nieuwenhuis from Nieu Photography. Her style is light photography
The chapel and reception is all on the same venue so there was no need for transport. Only feet necessary
The food was amazing and was done by the venue - Alevi Guest Farm
Cake was delicious and done by Kate van der Westhuizen

The reception was so awesome. It was a great party and all the guests were having fun. Coming in and being called Mrs. Strydom for the first time was such a nice feeling. The order of events went down perfectly with speeches having people in tears and laughter. There were no long boring speeches. We tried dance lessons which was an epic fail
