When you dream of your big day, you certainly don't think of yourself, standing in front of the alter in crutches.
A couple of days before our wedding, I dropped a 22kg weight on my foot and broke my toes. As one can imagine I was quite about the terrible turn of events and wanted to postpone the wedding. We however decided to proceed. We would just do things slightly different.
I waited for the groom at the alter and let him walk down the Isle. It was different and unique, a lot like our relationship.
Like you would expect from any wedding day, it had a few hurtles, from forgotten socks and lost ties, to leaving my bouquet behind. With all unexpected moments, the most unexpected one of all, was the moment our eyes met at the alter. The atmosphere was beautiful created by Piano Guys - Fight Song.
It was in this very moment that I knew that we can make it through better and worse, sickness and health and everything life was going to throw at us. This man of mine was going to carry me through it all.
Our day was perfectly-imperfect. Life is not about the perfect moments. It's about the little moments in between. It's there where your foundation lies.

I decided to go with a classic elegant look, something soft and romantic.
I have always been someone who appreciates detail. My wedding dress was a light champagne color with ivory lace. Delicate diamante patterns created just enough sparkle to pick up my rosegold chandelier earrings.
My shoes were a glossy champagne with a halo butterfly wing design.
To complete a romantic look, I went with a half up hairdo. Soft curls framed my face while my makeup was fresh and natural
I trained 3 to 5 times a week at Fitness 24. Note to brides (-: Don't go to the gym, a week before your big day.
My hair, nails and makeup was done at Glitz and Glam.
Our venue was absolutely stunning and needed very little decor.
Our flowers was done by Flowers Galore
