Our day was filled with so many beautiful moments, it is impossible to choose just one or two, but here goes...
One of the most memorable experiences of the day was definitively when our eyes met for the first time as I walked down the isle. It was magical!
Another was when my dad came to fetch me for the ceremony and both of us got a bit teary-eyed.
Our first dance was also a highlight, we chose an unconventional rock song and really pulled out some moves :)
The day started off overcast and we were blessed with rain during the ceremony, afterwards is stopped for a bit and the cloudy skies made the colour of all the beautiful wedding flowers as well as the spectacular gardens at the wedding venue really pop!

Christoph took me to the amazing Meeru Resort and Spa in the Maldives.
We had a wonderful time; relaxing, scuba diving, swimming and just enjoying each others' company.
We also made the most of the watersports like the stand-up paddle boarding and jet-skis.
I knew I didn't want a typical white bridal gown. I tried on quite a few dresses before falling in love with a beaded champagne number at Bridal Wardrobe which fit me like a glove. I loved that the dress was called the Hollywood dress :)
Due to the dress having a lot of detail, I kept the rest of my look fairly simple and elegant.
I found some very comfortable t-bar heels, which Dollies Closet bedazzled with some champagne glitter and pearls.
My beautiful hairstyle was done by Louise from Salon 746 and my make-up by the amazing Jumandi Eksteen. They also did the hair and make-up of my bridesmaids.
We got married at the exquisite Shepstone Gardens which was a dream come true.
From the moment you enter the venue it is like being taken away to another world.
Our coordinator, Alex, as well as a very capable team, were there for us every second of the day.
I am generally a healthy and fit person, so I didn't change my diet or exercise regime too much before our wedding.
I made sure to have a glowing complexion by going for a few facial treatments from about 6 months before the wedding at Salon Chame.
Our décor and flowers were done by Michelle Matthews from Oopsie Daisy Flowers. Michelle captured our vision perfectly.
Our wedding colours were jewel tones like marsala red, navy blue, plum, mustard yellow and a lot of greenery with vintage gold geometric shapes filled with candles. Everything looked perfect in the venue's glass marquee reception area.
Christoph had his deep navy blue three piece suit tailor made by O.S Man Tailor Made in Brooklyn Pretoria.
The groomsmen wore white shirts, with navy ties and oxblood suit pants from Woolworths, which complimented the groom perfectly.
The bridesmaids' dresses were inspired by the wedding colours and all 5 wore a different hue.
We hade their beautiful dresses made by Gelique Couture.
Our officiator was Ds. Janlu Kuyler from the NG Moreleta park church.
We had numerous guests coming to us afterwards with compliments for Ds. Kuyler.
His wedding sermon and message suited our personalities and what we wanted for our day perfectly.
Carolien and Ben took our pictures and I would recommend them to anyone. The have a wonderful contagious energy about them and know exactly how to capture all the important moments perfectly. We are in love with the result!
Our videographer was by Daniel from Fascination Pictures. After all the fun we had on the wedding day to get the footage, we cannot wait for our wedding video :)
Alex Watermeyer from the Shepstone Gardens in-house team was such a star the day of our wedding, always ready and able to assist with whatever requests we had.
Our catering was done by Taste Explosion.
The guests could not stop raving about the food. Everything was absolutely delicious. Especially the dessert table.
Our yummy wedding cake was by Istelle from Dijo Catering and was a naked vanilla cake with white chocolate mousse and cheesecake layers in between.
We had a cake topper with Batman and Wonderwoman (our favourite superhero characters) and Mr and Mrs Smith on top of the cake from Laserlink.
Becky Harman from the Shepstone Gardens in-house team designed our lovely navy blue and floral wedding stationary.
We had musicians (violin and keyboard) playing during our ceremony and while the guests were feasting on the harvest table. It fitted the elegance and class of the venue perfectly.
Our DJ was Henk Kotze from Zoom DJ's, who is also the venue's in-house DJ.
Our guests loved Henk and there wasn't a moment when the dance-floor wasn't filled with people.
