Our relationship is based around laughter and not a day goes by without some comedic relief!
♥ After 8 years of dating, we finally got to say our I do's! ♥
There are too many...
* The first being, finally saying our vows and exchanging our rings in front of our loved ones!
* The bridal party entrance where they all danced in to "Come and get your love" ♫♪♫
* Making our epic entrance as Mr&Mrs to the Pokemon theme song.
* The speeches: From emotional to hilarious, they were truly unforgettable.
* To our upbeat, totally unprepared first dance to "You are the best thing" ♥
We went to the beautiful Italy!
After dating for 8 years and lots of savings, this was the first time we had ever travelled together alone.
It was fun, exciting and so romantic - I cannot begin to describe the beauty of the country!
My wedding look was definitely minimalist and true to who I am.
The hair: After growing my hair for almost a year, I made the decision to chop it all off!
I did my own hair using my trusty GHD
The makeup: The most brilliant makeup artist *Tatum Clark* did my makeup as well as my 5 bridesmaids and mom - each of us looked impeccable!
My makeup theme was minimal, yet still the perfect balance of bridal, with soft touches of pink.
The wedding dress: My dress was a 2 piece lace & tulle bridal perfection! ♥ Bought from Bridal Room from the Hadassa collection.
We had a Chinese tea ceremony where I wore a traditional red dress called a Cheongsam; it had gold accents with the chinese phoenix called the Fenghuang on it.
The shoes: Elli-Nicole shoes = Comfort, stunning and local. They also tied in with our wedding theme of burgundy, blush and emerald.
The jewellery: I bought a lovely pair of tiny drop earrings from Woolworths and I wore my DW classic black rose gold watch.
For the tea ceremony I also wore a gold and jade bracelet which was given to me by my gran.
The accessories: I got a custom made garter set from "And Something Pretty", it was a cream lace garter with rose gold flowers and vines intertwined in it.
We got married at St Pius X Catholic Church, Waterkloof by our parish priest.
Lace on Timber. This venue is literally a dream come true, I almost cried when I first walked in.
Guests stayed at the venue and we had a lovely breakfast the next morning.
All the decor was done by "Pebble and Lace", which is the sister company of Lace on Timber.
We wanted decor that would compliment the venue, as the venue itself already says so much on its own.
We went for the colours scheme of burgundy, blush and emerald.
Their attire was hired from "Top Hat Suit Co".
The groom wore a blue tuxedo with a burgundy tie and the groomsmen wore blue suits with burgundy bowties.
All of them wore "Happy Socks" to make the suits a little more exciting ☺
My gorgeous bridesmaids wore a stunning burgundy/plum spaghetti string long dress, with cutout detail at the back - which were bought from Forever New.
All of them looked radiant on the day!
Our parish priest Fr. Williamson from our church in Johannesburg.
We were his first nuptial mass, which made our ceremony even more special.
Mighty Fine Productions and BlackFrame Photography were our videographers and photographers respectively.
We genuinely could not have asked for better talent to capture our memorable day! They both managed to capture who we are as a couple and love we have for each other.
My husband and myself did all the planning, with the help of Peter and Jeanel from Lace on Timber, who coordinated everything at the venue.
We loved every moment of planning our big day ♥
Lace on Timber catered on the day - seriously the most delicious canapés and dinner!
We had a triple layered semi naked red velvet cake which was made by Belle's Patisserie.
We also had Charmander chilling on our cake - another touch of Pokemon!
All I can say about all of the food is "Yum Yum Yum"!
The amazing Candace from Speakspaces Design Co & Paper Pom, created the most amazing wedding invitations as well as table seating!!
