The whole wedding ceremony and reception was beautiful. Some of the most memorable moments was when we took our vows. Both my hubby and I could not hold our tears back. It was the realest moment of my entire. During the reception, Enock (my hubby) sang for me. I was beside myself with emotion, with every note- i kept saying a silent prayer of gratitude to God. My granny who has not been feeling well for quite some time and had also taken a fall as we were walking out from church danced for a very long time. The joy in her voice was contagious that the guests spent more time dancing and singing than anything else.
We spent our first night at the venue (Camelotte) then drove to Rustenburg where we spend two more nights. We are still to go on an official honeymoon when our funds allow. Rustenburg was just beautiful as we did not want to be too far from home since most of our guests were still around and we still got the relaxed connection we needed. Enock especially loved the scenic view from the mountains.
I wanted a rustic but modern simplified look. My cousin Tendai did my hair (inspired by a pic of Rihanna)- i just wanted soft curls on a natural look which came out beautifully. Both my dresses were bought locally and altered by an amazing seamstress in the South rightfully named Angela. i bought my lingerie from Jet and Bra Things (Mall of Africa). My tiara was a vintage gift from my aunt and the earings were also a gift from another cousin of mine (yes i do have a generous family :-)!). i bought my shoes at Queue in Nicolway long back in April- i just knew they were the 'ones'. About my make-up, goodness me- the most amazing and talented artist fixed me up. I felt beautiful. My dancing pumps were from Legit.
Our wedding was at Camelotte in Brits. Its a glorious place run by a very humble family. Our guests did not stay over as we still had some customary processes to finish off the same evening. Afterwards Enock and I took a drive back to the venue for our first night together.
i honestly did try to eat healthy, exercise and drink more water but i was not very successful. My weight kept fluctuating though i felt beautiful on the day. We had dance rehearsals weekly which helped in keeping fit.
A friend from church who is an Events Planner handled all our decor which was aligned with the rustic theme.Every little detail was in place and looked just perfect. It was an indoor event so we did not need tents.
The whole team of groomsmen (all 8 of them) got their suits from Oriental Plaza in Johannesburg South. Enock is still to reveal his supplier ..lol but i noticed his shoes are from Steve Madden.
My bridesmaids (amazing women and may God bless their beautiful hearts) got their dresses from YDE, Mall of Africa.
My Maid of Honor ordered her dress from China. The dresses were very elegant with lace which complemented the rustic look. Accessories were supplied by my other cousin :-) and i did their hair.
Our marriage was officiated by our local Pastor- Ps Givemore. He delivered a beautiful message on how we can all love better!
We worked with ViaMor and we are still waiting to see their work. We did not have a photo booth, it would have just created chaos with the number of guests who showed up.
We had a Planner who also did the Decor. Her husband was the Logistics Coordinator. Amazing couple!
Our Pre-Marriage Counselor who is married to the Wedding Planner was the Logistics Coordinator. Amazing couple!
We used private vehicles from family and church.
We designed our own stationery and most communication was done digitally.
My Hubby comes from a very musical family so there was a lot of live singing. The band that played was from church and my other cousin (Arno) was our DJ. He is a professional club DJ and knew how to engage the crowd. The bridal team had 18 people and we met weekly to practice dances. The moves were astounding, even to us!
