Jacques and I met just over 3 years when he gave me a lift from Port Elizabeth to East London for the holidays. We were both students then. He was studying towards his BCom. I was studying towards my BSc. We quickly developed a friendship and not too soon after that we were dating. We knew from that start that we were dating for a purpose, and so our adventure began. In 2015 he graduated and worked in Port Elizabeth, while I finished off my degree. This year, 2016, I graduated and we both moved back to East London where I now teach. On a beautiful Saturday evening in April, Jacques went down on one knee and asked me to marry him. He had everything set up down at the river at his parents house. When I say everything, I literally mean EVERYTHING. He even had the sugar packets that I had given him on various dates throughout our time together.
We didn't waste anytime after that. We found our venue, got things sorted, and 5 months later we were married! September 24th, 2016. The day we started our family.
Our wedding day was amazing. God had provided us with perfect weather. We had a wonderful church to get married in and a beautiful reception. The best part was getting to celebrate and rejoice in our love with our close family and friends -from near and far.
As much as we loved our wedding, it's our marriage we're truly excited for!
