Katelynn Labonté

Married on Aug 8, 2016 in Gauteng

Our wedding was everything we wanted and more than we expected.
It was very important to us that God is present at all times.
We got married at Kloofzicht Lodge and Spa. I first saw this venue in 2012 and I knew this was the venue that I was going to get married someday. I showed my husband the venue and he also loved it. We only looked at this venue, no other venues. We loved the nature, the mountains, the water and the tranquility of the venue. You feel a total peace when you are there. We got engaged on 25 September 2015 and our wedding was 8 August 2016. We chose 8/8/2016 because the Godly meaning for the number 8 means a NEW BEGINNING. It also means law and it represents infinity.

My entrance song "Jesus be the center" was also a representation for us asking God to be the center of our marriage and our lives. We did a sand ceremony where the pastor poured in the white sand representing God, my husband had blue sand and i had pink sand. You cant separate sand from sand.

We had a lovely photo session with our photographer Corne du Plessis from Xceed Photography and video footage with Andre Velts from Twinfish productions. They were very creative, made us "walk on water" for the most beautiful pictures we could ever ask for. We got beautiful sunset footage and photos, it was perfect.

Our reception was beautiful, Dania Morris from Wedding Decor Designs did all our decor and flowers. We had fairy lights, white damask table cloths and candles drifting on water with dusty pink roses and Gerbera daisies. Our candy table looked amazing, everybody loved and enjoyed it, Janique Schoeman from The Prettiest Thing was the service provider.
Our cake looked stunning, three tiers with white draping and Gerbera daisies from Kelly Jayne Cakes and our guests loved the cupcake in a jar with all the different flavours and our thank you note on it. Shalane from me and u design did all our printing. Rike Coetzer, Saxophone player entertained our guests while we were busy with our photo session and created a relaxing atmosphere.

We had a dance group who did 2 dances during the reception activities to entertain our guests, we handed the bouquet and garter to my grandmother and grandfather who are married now for 58 years. Our first dance was on Maroon 5's Sugar. We went for dance lessons for 8 months up until two days before our wedding to get all the moves and grooves going. Our food was 5 star and everybody enjoyed it. We had the most beautiful toasts and speeches that gave me tears in my eyes.

Werner Dey (Designer in Parys, Freestate) designed my dream wedding dress, I absolutely loved my dress! I wish I could wear it everyday! My bridesmaids looked gorgeous in their dusty pink bridesmaid dresses, Sanet Venter were the designer who made it for them. Our DJ - Paul Louw from Creamcheese was amazing, he kept all the guests on the dance floor all the time. We ended of with a night shoot and danced until the night was over 23:30.

All our guests told us how much they enjoyed our wedding.

It was the most perfect amazing day we could ever ask for and we thank God for giving us our beautiful dream day!
