"Dreams really do come true!"

I dreamed of a day filled with flowers, light and love!
Beautiful gold decor and small details crafted with love and patience.
Elegant gowns and smiling faces...
Horses and children and family! and good food!
Oh and yes of course I dreamed of saying
"I do"

How long will I love you?
As long as stars are above you
And longer, if I can.

How long will I need you?
As long as the seasons need to
Follow their plan.

How long will I be with you?
As long as the sea is bound to
Wash upon the sand.

How long will I want you?
As long as you want me to
And longer by far.

How long will I hold you?
As long as your father told you,
As long as you can.

How long will I give to you?
As long as I live through you
However long you say.

How long will I love you?
As long as stars are above you
And longer, if I may.

Once Upon a Time...

The story begins in high school with a knight in shining armour and a girl stranded at a matric dance! 5 years later, a beautiful diamond ring, a nervous prince and a single question began the most emotional and important journey of our lives!

The magical day was set to take place in the stunning KZN Midlands at the Bellwood Cottages. Jason, the prince, had his castle not far from there and so we decided to start our happily forever after surrounded by the beautiful views and enchanting forests that we now call home. Family and friends traveled from far and wide- and some even crossed the oceans- to be with us on the crisp winters day on the 9 July 2016.

A magical dress from Euro Brides fitted like a glove on the first try. The ball gown made an ordinary girl feel like a princess worthy of her handsome prince! The veil, embroidered with love and kept as an heirloom for future generations, was made on the dining room table and my Ouma made dresses for her self and my Granny who honoured me by being my flower girls. Dripping with pearll and crystal jewels from Louvisa and cloaked in navy gowns of lace and tulle my three favourite girls supported me throughout the process.

Every detail was sentimental down to the M&Ms bearing our names and photographs, and the boutonnières made from feathers out of the fathers fly fishing supplies! The wedding colours, navy and pink, were those of my parents at their wedding and the venue for the first night of our marriage, Rawdons Hotel, was the same as that of the Jason's parents at their wedding.

The days (and months!) before saw many busy friends and family helping to set up the venue which was draped in flowers fairy lights and candles! Glorious smells wafted from the kitchen hinting at what was to be the feast for the next day!

Thanks to many busy people the day was just magic! The best advice we got was to enjoy every moment of the day from start to finish... and that we did! The ceremony was intimate and memorable (the minister forgot to let the prince kiss his bride!) The food was heavenly and the whole day was filled with love, support and joy, (and some nerves too!) The dance floor was crowded all night long and the drinks flowed freely. Many photographs were taken and even more memories made.

"We're all traveling through time together
Every day of our lives.
All we can do is do our best
To relish this remarkable ride." -Ellie Goulding
