Seldom in life does one feel the pull of the universe towards another being so suitably fitted that ones soul smiles with joy for having been united, that your heart can only be filled with a love so pure, it fills your eyes with tears on your wedding day. In the words of Ed Sheeran " Maybe we found love right where we are." Nothing else mattered that day, but our love for one another, everything else was a bonus.
There was no place more magical to say our " I do's" than the picturesque landscapes of Elandskloof Farm Cottages in Greyton. With a rose petal aisle and a canopy of oak leaves, in a small intimate forest, my father walked me over to the man of my dreams. We sealed our marriage with a kiss infront of our nearest and dearest family and friends, but we felt the love of those up in heaven as the leaves of the trees rained down on us, though there was not a breathe of wind.
After some playful and intimate photo's we made our way to a stone barn which reflected colours of mint, coral and gold against rustic backdrops. The occasional crystal or glittery element and the vintage decor was well complimented by fynbos and roses, candles and feathers. Careful detailing to an experiential dining moment, created at each of the 12 tables. Our friends loved it.
Our guests sipped on champagne and had canapes, played over-sized Jenga; loaded candy bags full of sweet treats; dressed up for the photo-booth; danced, sang an partied the night away until the early hours of the morning.
All in all, one of the most remarkable weddings I've ever attended, if I may say so, myself.
