A fairytale that exceeded both our wildest dreams!
After scouring the KZN Midlands for the perfect venue, we arrived at our last stop Cairn of Old Kilgobbin, and were welcomed by the amazing Carlene Bronner. In an instance I knew that this was it.
The Cairn of Old Kilgobbin, in the beautiful Dargle Valley, rolling green hills, history and a heartbeat. We were sold, and so the planning begun.
Our service providers were incredible, ensuring that everything down to the flower ladder was perfect.
Our ceremony was at 11am next to river, with horses and donkeys heard in the background. This was followed by the reception and an afternoon filled with love and happiness. The ambience, games, band and ever flowing drinks which included Standeaven Brewery craft beers and G&T on tap and scrumptious food by Pinch of Salt were enjoyed by all of our nearest and dearest. We always wanted a morning wedding and the weather couldn't have been more perfect, cool with the mist settling in late afternoon which made for some stunning photos. Guests enjoyed sitting on the lawns with blankets and hot chocolate, before setting off for later festivities at the nearby local hotel. We chose to have photos during the day instead of leaving our guests for a long time, after all they were there to share in our 'fairytale'.
Our farm wedding came to life, and the animals joined in for the fun!!
I married my best friend, soul-mate and adventurer!
