My wedding day. The day that I have been dreaming about since I was a little girl happened on the 12th March 2016 in my hometown Wellington in the heart and soul of the Boland. Surrounded by vineyards and the majestic mountains of the Cape, there I said my I do’s.
My wedding was the perfect beginning to my newly fairy tale story with my very own prince Fagan. Our ceremony took place at the picturesque Val du Charron Olive and Wine Farm, where we were blessed with the perfect summer’s day, hardly a cloud in the sky and not a breath of wind. After the ceremony the guest headed to my family home – James Sedgwick Distillery. What made everything special was the fact that I was born and raised there and it was the first and last wedding to ever take place at South Africa’s only whisky distillery.
Besides the food, décor, my dress and atmosphere that was amazing – what made it most special was the fact that I married my best friend, the man I am lucky enough to call mine for the rest of my life and being able to have shared it with everyone that we love, our family and friend.
