I woke up that morning feeling so calm and not nervous at all. We all got ready for the big day and had a lot of fun. Our makeup artist did an amazing job on makeup and the hair stylist as well. My dad, and now dad in law, was saying how they were going to make my husband wait for me but that didnt happen. Everyone was too excited. I had a loooooooong path that I had to walk because we got married outside. (See photos). Me and one of the bridesmaids almost fell over a little bridge! But luckily didnt. When we got to the ceremony area, one of the silly groomsmen ran to go and fetch the 2 pillows we had to kneel on, so we waited a few minutes. By that time the nerves got to me a little bit. The music started playing and first it was my youngest sister in law with my dad in law walking in, then my eldest sister in law and my mom in law walking in, then my sister and mom. My dad asked me 'is jy reg?', and I said yes. I kept my eyes on my husband, ocasionally looking at our guests. I later saw on our wedding video that he and his best man were really emotional. We said our vowes and got married. Our little jack russel, Jakkie, brought in our rings. We went to take our wedding photos while the guests were enjoying a few drinks and snacks out on the veranda of the venue. I just have to say our photographer was amazing! Thanks to Eclipse Photography. I got rid of those high heels and put on my all star hight tops and took the puffy part of my dress off and got comfortable. We ate and got the speeches out of the way. We cut the cake and the groom made his speech. I threw my bouquet and then Kleintjie took the garter off. That took a while because it got stuck on my sneaker and I wasnt allowed to help him. Luckily we chose a long song, 'Three little birds" by Bob Marley. He eventually got it off and threw it. We did our first dance and further on we just really enjoyed ourselves!
