On a perfect day in March we tied the knot on our beautiful family farm, De Waal Wines. We were the last of the four de Waal kids to get married there so the venue was very close to the hart and absolutely breathtaking!
The ceremony took place underneath a nearby lonely tree on a hill overlooking beautiful Stellenbosch, and guests were taken there by tractor and cart. The pre-drinks was underneath huge shadows of oak trees with four food stalls for the guests to pick their favourite snacks.
The reception was in a courtyard surrounded by a Cape Dutch house and old buildings from the 1800's underneath the stars. The decor had a rustic feel to it with lots of raw wood and baby's breath flowers in jars.
I could not have asked for a more perfect day getting married to the man of my dreams with all our family and friends to witness this special moment.
