Amber Grace Turner

Married on Mar 18, 2016 in Western Cape

Maro and I had been dating for 4 wonderful years. Having met in Stellenbosch at the start of our studies, we shared so many memories together during our early twenties. We got engaged on the beach in Arniston on a weekend away with my parents, who were celebrating their wedding anniversary! It was a very special weekend celebrating lasting love and new exciting beginnings.

The theme of our wedding was to be timeless and romantic. I didn't want a specific colour to shape the theme so I was inspired to use lots of candles and have their glow create ambiance and romance. I was particularly inspired by Channel, and had shades of blush pink, white and black incorporated among the glow of candlelight. I wanted the evening to reflect Maro and my relationship which is loving, soft, gentle and romantic.

The entire evening was so memorable and we felt each moment together as a couple. Each moment was savored which was wonderful. My most memorable moment was Maro's speech. He spoke from the heart and had my entire family in tears! His speech was just a reminder to me of his gentle heart and how much he loves me. Another moment we both absolutely loved was our opening dance together! It was something we both were SO nervous about but ended up being the highlight of the evening! Lastly, being able to get away together with our talented photographer who was able to take some romantic photos was also such a lovely time. Maro and I were comfortable and relaxed and were able to focus on each other and what we had just done!
