#MilKay Wedding

My wife and I both love the ocean, we realized that within the first few weeks of getting to know each other. We would always end up at the beach even if we didn’t have any real date plans. It was just fitting that our wedding should then have an ocean theme. We decided on a small and intimate wedding because we wanted to experience the full intensity of the day. Our intimate wedding allowed us to be completely present in every moment; to laugh, dance and share tears of joy with our guests. We love nature, therefore it was very important that we had lots of greenery. Our venue accommodated both the ocean and garden experience we were hoping for. We had a lighthouse cake because it symbolizes finding solid ground within each other. Our vows were in the form of a dialog, it combined traditional vows and a poem my wife wrote. My wife and I spent hours’ deciding on the wedding décor, everything at the wedding was carefully put into place to try and make each guest feel special and to let them know how much they mean to us. Experiencing the genuine joy and love on our special day made it the perfect foundation for a beautiful marriage we now share one year later.
